So, you decided to come. Somehow, I knew you would come... I was waiting for you and you being here is a
honorable demonstration of your interest. This day shall be remembered for ages after we are all gone... But this is not
important, or at least not as important as what you are about to know. Reading the following text, you will be introduced
to and will share with me the honor of my name, the history of my family, the pride of this warrior in all that is important.

As well as the individual history of every warrior is as important to himself as to his family, if he has no honor,
that will be nothing. The warrior's name alone, means nothing without honor. One warrior is not
important if not for the Family; the Family is not important if not for the House organization;
the House has no meaning if not for the Empire; and the Empire is all.

Then, after you know my line, I will be able to consider you a friend and I will wait for the day
I will be given the honor to know more of you. After that, I shall eager the day we can battle side by side
in the glorious ways of the warriors and then be able to drink and sing our victories and seal our bounds
of friendship with the rites of blood. The blood of real warriors... for the honor of the Empire.

A BRIEF RETROSPECT

The Line of Kao is quite old in the Empire's history. Its beginning lost itself in time, before the reformation, but preserved documents indicate the presence of ancient people who crossed the east-center seas of the northern hemisphere. These people, my ancestors, have always served the Empire with honor - with some very few cases of dishonor or misbehavior problems, all solved within the boundaries of our House, and never getting to treat the Empire or the ancient honor of our Family Line.
Nevertheless, from time to time, weaker individuals fail, and with the ongoing ramifications of sub-families and joined-in individuals, this seems to be a (yet carefully hidden) constant issue in all of the Empire Houses.
But the strongest warriors always survive to serve the Honor of their Empire, their Family and their Self. My family is proud of its history, all in all, we have always been true to the Empire and yet to ourselves...

One of my remotest ancestors, Kassiopei of Nargh, was a warrior in the historic Gal'torpu Wars, in which different tribes, joined in feuds, fought for expansion. Colonel of the Nargh tribes, he helped to defend and expand the territories for the Nargh'Gosh feud. In one of those tortuous battles, the historic legend tells that he fought ahead of his warriors for four continuous days and nights, being then named Kassiopei, the Night Warrior. Warlords of other region feuds, after hearing of his skills with the swords, tried to convince him to fight for them, with the promise of lands and richness, but he stood with the feud he belonged to, until he made himself enough to settle down and create his own tribe in the near-by region of Kao'Sor...
As far as it is known, this is the ancient reference to the foundation of the House of Kao, whose ancient shield plus emblem name - used mainly in traditional and/or formal ceremonies - is shown here.

OUR HOUSE STATUS TODAY

Back to present, there are many sub-representatives of our line, but my family is ahead of them all. Until recently my father, Rodak Edatai Kao, was the head of our family. He was a General, very close to Chancellor Gorkon, the late Council Leader of the Empire who began the peace process with the Federation of Planets. Not exactly a sympathizer of the peace with the Humans, he was wise enough to know it was the natural way of the future unfold, otherwise it would mean a final war and the destruction of both potencies. Unfortunately or not, he joined Kahless in Sto-Vo-Kor, due old age and complications of old battle wounds, about three years before seeing Alliance with the Federation, established by Gorkon's daughter and successor, Azetbur, after the events in Khitomer. My father never feared a challenge and was a warrior of great honor. He always faced his enemies with wide eyes and raised head, and fought bravely until his sudden death.

Early in his life he was a soldier and a kinesiologist for the Armed Forces, where he began to develop his skills as a natural born healer-warrior. For thirty some years he passed for many different groups of task forces as his fame kept growing. Then, he finally established himself as an independent Warlord for the Empire and founded his own task force named Imperial Force Edatai Kao. Late in his life he was invited to be vice-leader of an old society of warriors known as the Gon Dohlers Strike Force and served there for eight years, first beside Leader Klaver Kamarg and then beside Leader Luso Salger.

My honored father, Rodak Edatai Kao,
a warrior with a heart.

After my father's death, my mother, Enoami, began to take care of our House's finances and business. My older brother, Ulapor B'reoot, is now our House representative. He served with my father in our task force and took control after his death. He now lives in an outpost in another planet. Our older sister, Alin Menead, is married to Anotai of the House of Brat'tul. By her time, it was not quite usual for a female to serve as a front warrior in the Imperial Forces and she also declined the option to fight the challenge for her right to do so...

IN A MORE PERSONAL LEVEL

My usual likeness as a warrior
of the House of Kao.
As the youngest son, I am still fighting to stand alone with my own honor and yet to honor the name I uphold, but, even for a warrior, this days are not easy... I command my own ship, a scout class vessel, but the economical crisis of the Empire is refraining almost all attack and expansion missions only to tactical and defense missions.
Fortunately enough, I have access to the higher levels of the government. As certain as my father was close to our former Chancellor, Gorkon, I had the chance to perform some glorious missions and I even was honorably selected to participate of one of the challenging last undercovered missions for the Empire. More can be accessed in The Mission Report - as secret information is being slowly disclosed with the end of the Neutral Zone and the Cold War in Federation Standard Year (F.S.Y.) of 2293...

My little princess-warrior
Aticiel. Pride of all my prides.

My former mate, Sedya, mother of Aticiel.
In a more personal level, when I'm not in space, I spend much of my time with the pride of all my prides, my daughter, Aticiel, the future female warrior leader of our family line. She is now 3 F.S.Y. old and she is very intelligent - not to talk about her beauty...
Aticiel the only major pride of my unsettling union with her mother Sedya Ti'Stabat, with whom I was mated for some years. She is a darned untempered and ruthless female from a less known line, with no really relevant battle records, whose sole objective seemed to be driving me berserk! (Humm... maybe that's why I stood for so long in space)...
In what concerns Sedya, since we were not bounded with the tradition of the Wedding Link, I can say we are parted and I am... so to speak... available to mate with any other female... In fact, I'm already mating with Alenies Ksesdaon B'laoot, a very clever and appealing Klingon female.

My new mate, Alenies.
