2000-02-14 Monday
(St. Valentine's Day)

Travel plans arrived today. This keeps lining up on holidays: first Christmas Eve and now this. Plus, we fly out on 17 March, St. Patrick's Day.

Also since she was born in 1999, which was the year of the rabbit, and we're getting her in March, Tammy has taken to calling her our March Hare.

2000-02-18 Friday

We went to the police department for an updated police report. (It turned out that we didn't need these after all.)

We also went to the travel clinic and had our last shots. We both had the third hepatitis B and typhoid shots. Mike also has a tetanus-diphtheria shot. That evening we went to the pharmacy and picked up various meds: eye drops, cream for scabies (Yuck! Hopefully, we won't even need it.), malaria pills, and cephlexin.

Note to anyone needing cephlexin: this is a powder that is mixed with distilled water. Once it is mixed (and active) the shelf life is two weeks (we travel in 1 month) and it needs to be refrigerated. The pharmacy took a loss on that first bottle.
