I am not one to brag upon
myself but
I guess I will tell you
enough to let you know
that I am full of good intentions
about this web page
and its' contents.
I was born man, many years
ago (in a distant land, far, far away...)
in a North Shore suburb
of Boston, Massachusetts named Lynn.
(yes, that's in the United
States)
I graduated Lynn English
High School
and shortly thereafter joined
the Air Force
and spent the next 26 years
as a musician.
(Warning: Don't get him
started on music..you'll be here all day!)
I traveled the world performing
concerts
and meeting people and spent
a lot of time chatting
with them much as I do here
on the net.
(And that's a Lot!!)
About 7 years ago... I was
told that I have Cancer.
I figured that it was no
big deal
because there were no loud
claps of Thunder
and no Lightening when the
Doc told me.
So, I figured I would be
alright.
I survived that bout of
cancer,
(quite well too we must
say..)
And then, 2 years ago....
I was told once again,
that I had cancer, in a
different location.
Again, no thunder and lightening.
What does that mean??
Well psychologically....,
when you watch TV and see
someone
told that they have cancer
they go through all kinds
of emotions
and loud music accompanies
their distress,
and that is not always what
happens
in the real world.
The key word here is "psychologically"....
Many people,
when dealing with an illness
or crisis,
experience feelings of anxiety,
sadness, and depression.
Sometimes,
these emotions are easier
to heal than the flesh
...but often times, the
recovery process
and how well a person copes
is aided by compassion,
understanding and support
from others.....
be it loved ones, family
or friends.
That is why I am here on
this web site today.
I guess it's because I want
to try to help
ease their pain and offer
support through sharing
the wonderful resources
available here on the net.
Hence, I have dedicated
the following pages on my
web site:
(Stress
and Depression)
(Self
Help and Self Awareness)
(Resources)
I also have had many dealings,
in the past five years,
with people who have been
abused.
They are grown adults now
and the abuse was when they
were children.
I feel I have helped them
through some of their pain.
That is another reason for
the website..
to help overcome the fright
of childhood memories
and also help pursue the
people
who commit these horrendous
crimes
and see what we can do about
them.
And, I am also Certified
in Criminal Justice work
and have tried to aid teens
who have gang related problems.
So, I have devoted a page
that deals with Child Abuse
and other related resources
to help others
who may be dealing with
the anxiety and pain associated
with the safety and welfare
of their children.
(For
The Sake Of Children)
