 I am a member of The Order of The
Daughters of The King
for the Episcopal Church. I strongly believe that God and
His Son, Christ Jesus loves all of us as we are.
For His Sake
I am but one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything but I can
do something.
What I can do, I ought to do.
What I ought to do, by the grace of God I will
do.
Lord, what would you have me do?
Many have asked me for the motto
of our order.
The hymn for the order is Lift High the Cross
Refrain:
Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim
till all the world adore
his sacred Name.
1. Led on their way by this
tri-um-phant sign,
the host of God in con-quering
ranks com-bine. (Refrain)
2. Each new-born ser-vant of
the Cru-ci-fied
bears on the brow the seal of
him who died. (Refrain)
3. O Lord, once lift-ed on the
glo-rious tree,
as thou hast prom-ised, draw
the world to thee. (Refrain)
4. So shall our song of
tri-umph ev-er be:
praise to the Cru-ci-fied for
vic-to-ry. (Refrain)
