GOD'S STRENGTH TO COMFORT ME

I grid myself today with the might of heaven.
The rays of the sun,
The beams of the moon,
The glory of fire,
The speed of wind,
The depth of sea,
The stability of earth,
The hardness of rock,
O grid myself today with the power of God:

God's strength to comfort me,
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to lead me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's angels to save me
From the snares of the devil,
From temptations to sin,
From all who wish me ill,
Both far and near,
Alone and with others.

In I Corinthians 13:1-13, these verses tells us that love is the
greatest gift of all. The internet has shed a lot of light on this gift,
and these pages reflects the love that transcends all: The Love of God
and His Son, Christ Jesus, which is given for all of us to share with
one another.





There are some people who, in order not to pray, use as an
excuse the fact that life is so hectic that it
prevents them from praying.


This cannot be.

Prayer does not demand that we interrupt our work, but that we
continue working as if it were a prayer. It is not necessary to always
be meditating, nor to consciously experience the sensation that we are
talking to God, no matter how nice this would be. What matters
is being with him, living in him, in his will. To love with a pure heart to
love everybody, especially to love the poor, is a twenty-four-hour prayer.
