More Dan Bits...

Daniel Brière currently has one year of pro hockey at the AHL level under his belt. Playing with the Springfield Falcons, the farm team of the Phoenix Coyotes, Daniel amassed 92 points in 68 games as a rookie. This put him 4th in league scoring at the end of the regular season. Daniel also notched his 1st ever NHL goal against the Kings. Despite the question about his small size, there is no questioning the size of Dan's heart.

Total Recall-
Daniel was recalled on Friday by the Coyotes. He was in action today against the Ducks (Salei did not play), playing his first regular season game. Not playing very effectively, he didn't get much ice time and Phoenix ended up with 2-2 a tie after going up 2-0.

Nice debut-
Dan is once again a rookie, this time in the IHL. He wasted no time last night though, notching his 1st goal and 1st assist in a Thunder uniform. Unfortunately Vegas lost the game 4-3.

IHL a-packin' we go-
Daniel was, quite disappointingly, sent down to Phoenix's IHL farm team the Las Vegas Thunder. Dan and Brad Isbister will be available for play tomorrow night against Milwaukee.

October 12, 1998
Salei suspended-
The ducks player in charge of causing Dan's concussion was fined $1000 and suspended for 5 games. Daniel himself was put on the injured reserve and remains day to day.

Concussion sustained-
I just saw on TSN that Daniel was injured in an exhibition game tonight against the ducks. He was elbowed into the boards by Ruslan Salei and hit his head on the glass and then fell to the ice again banging his head. He was taking to hospital where he is under observation. Not a particularly good birthday present as Daniel turns 21 today! Salei was not given a penalty on the play. Briere was expected to stay with the Coyotes, as he led the team in pre-season scoring with 7 points. Updates when I hear about them.

Pre-season-
If the coyotes weren't in town today I wouldn't be updating this=P. Anyway Daniel is back and hopefully he can stick... today Phoenix played the Canucks (my home team, wanted to go see them practice but no cigar sorry), but were beaten 6-2. Briere picked up 1 assist. Don't worry it won't always be like this (not his play, I mean my update).

Summer update-
Hi all! Wow does anyone even come here in the summer? Oh well. Updated the Dan bits, added a french interview from rds (hopefully translate this thing in the summer btw), and archived some dead articles from azcentral. Oh and if anyone knows anything about the wedding please lmk?
