These revisions should be played in a strict tempo. The CD provided with the book will help any jitter-bugging by the audience, while dancing by the piano player is optional.
The standard settings of familiar Chrismas songs can grow stale in time. In addition, many well known Classical piano works, as well as piano transcriptions of Classical standards, are often too serious and too complex for the average pianist. However, with these books, the music takes on a fresh new sound, and the melodies we've known for years suddenly become fun to play.
The goal has always been to have fun. That is what makes piano playing worthwhile. Hope you enjoy the books.
