The Liars' Club
TALL TALES
Official Oneuppersonship Contest Rules
Exclusions: we're sorry; this contest is not open to Martha Stewart, relatives of Martha Stewart, or employees of Martha Stewart/Martha Stewart Omnimedia LLC. After all, we want to be fair.
Deadline: Whenever.
Prizes: none but recognition on our Web site and membership in The Liars' Club,
including First Place, Second Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention(s).
How to Enter: describe your most impressive domestic achievements of a day or week.
However, unlike our overachievers Bev and Trixie, please limit your activities to any
of the following categories: Decorating and Home Repair, Arts and Crafts, Sewing, Gardening,
and Cooking/Baking. For inspiration, read Bev 'n Trixie Interface
or Martha Stewart Disease by Donna Lypchuk,
but please use your own words and ideas.
Essay length should be a minimum of 200 words (a large paragraph) to a maximum
of 500 words (about a page). If you're not sure of your word count, try typing
your essay in Word; then go to the Tools Menu and select Word Count. Then copy and
paste your essay into the text box below. This is always a good idea if you want
to save a copy for yourself or in case you accidentally delete something. Quality is more
important than quantity; essays may be edited for length and content.
Please make it easier for us to judge your essay by checking your spelling,
grammar and punctuation before submitting. Submission indicates that we have permission
from you the author to use your name and essay in future publications. Winners' essays will
appear on this Web site. Good luck and have fun creating!
If your browser doesn't support forms,
just send us your essay in the body of an email message (please don't send attachments).
