We like Martha Stewart, we really do. She has been a source of creative inspiration for many.
We feel that Martha has been unfairly accused of "making" exhausted and busy women feel
inadequate and insecure when these women are doing a fine job of making themselves feel
inadequate and insecure without any help from Martha. Indeed, Martha doesn't really expect
the rest of us to do all the Good Things she does--like God, she has a large staff
to assist her. So if you're looking for a Martha-bashing forum, you've come to the wrong
place--try another Web site. We are not women with too much time on our hands. As you can
see, we haven't had a lot of time to get too fancy with our Web site, and we're not perfect,
either. Frankly, it has been a royal pain (as well as a labor of love) to put this all
together. As time permits, we hope to make improvements in our creative efforts here. We both
work inside and outside the home and pursue our hobbies after work and on weekends. We
care about and support others and give to others, as well. As we look forward to the winter
Solstice at this writing, we have much to be thankful for. So let this be our Mission Statement:
bearing in mind that the world is full of war, disease, pestilence, famine and natural disasters,
the world is full of beauty too. Thus, we think it's healthy to occasionally exhange our hairshirts
for painters' smocks to make our little corner of the world a little more joyful and bright.
Welcome to our little corner and enjoy your visit.
