Boston 2 in 2002

        

You will find the DESCRIPTION of all events for this Boston reunion and the COST OF EACH EVENT enclosed.  NOTE:  Costs of some events have been LOWERED.

          An EVENTS SIGN-UP SHEET is also enclosed.  This form MUST BE RETURNED by MAY 1, 2002 along with your check for half of your total cost for the tours and banquet you have chosen to join.

The last half is due by July 1, 2002.

            Our headquarters HOTEL will be the Westin/Waltham at 70 Third Avenue, Waltham, Massachusetts.  To make your reservations – call 1-800-937-8461and ask for  the NAVY SQUADRON 102/14 ROOM BLOCK.  Specify your choice of king/2doubles when registering. For those of you with computers:  Try, but we are not certain that you will be able to make your reservations online because of using a group room block......

Room rate will be $109.00 per night plus taxes (currently 9.7%)

          Rooms are available, at the above rate, 3 nights before and 3 nights after our reunion.    (Regular rate before or beyond this time frame is $300.00 per night.)

Boston's AIRPORT is LOGAN INTERNATIONAL.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION to and from the airport is available AIRPORTER -  $26.00 1st person, $8.00 each additional  1-877-899-6161 Will ask for credit card # to hold reservation.

SHUTTLE KING - $30.00 1st person, $5.00 each additional.  1-800-714-1115 Web address: ShuttleKing.com  They will ask for credit card # to guarantee your reservation – pay for service upon use of transportation. 24 hour notice of your need for transportation is expected.

 HOTEL CHECK-IN:  is officially 3 pm  No harm in trying for earlier!
CHECKOUT TIME: is officially 1 pm    No harm in trying for later! 
  

REUNION REGISTRATION, in the Cambridge room, will be from, 11 am until 6 pm Thursday, Sept 12. We then move to the Emerson Room for our Welcome cocktail party.

All tours leave from and return to the hotel.
All tours have step-on guides and a driver.
All tours will leave promptly at 8:30 am
All tours have been planned for a leisurely pace and minimum effort.
Each bus will have a wheel chair available to help those in need.

          No liquor can be served in any public room (our "ready room") except under the control of a bartender, therefore, there will no liquor provided by the squadron.  The Hotel bar is readily available. (Massachusetts state law) You are permitted to have liquor in your private rooms.
