The entries above are as they are found in the original census. On Find my past.com  All the Sancasters are transcribed as SANCASTER and it is the same on image of the original record. Annie is noted as head of the household. Her husband William is not shown he must have been elsewhere on the night of the Census. I have been unable to find him.
All the Sancasters are noted as being Borders. They are all relatives of an who maiden name is Sancaster. Thomas age 41 is her brother and Francis, Robert, William and Earnest are is children. Robert Sancaster age 70 is the oldest surviving member of the Sancaster family at the time being the eldest brother of Annie.

This does appear to be Thomas Sancaster born 1848 but I cannot be 100% sure. The place of birth is incorrect but he may not have been consulted regarding the entry.

It is easy to see how it was transcribed as Lancaster. John is the youngest kid of Thomas Sancaster & Elizabeth Fulthorp. The nephew Michael Sancaster is the son of Michael Sancaster (1851) and Ann Blacklock.
