Delk: There is a series of interesting stories in the Interior Journal issues of Liberty, Casey Co., KY on Dec. 16 and Dec. 30, 1892 and Jan. 17, 1893 George W. Delk was the 6th child of Sherwood Delk who married Melissa Helm abt. 1845. Sherwood, in turn was the son of John Delk born abt. 1785 and his wife, Jemima (Nina) Adkins. This John was the second son of Jorden Delk, born in VA or NC and came to East TN with his wife, Susannah (Randall?). George W.
