G3 CD Update 2.0 - installs new firmware on certain 24x CD-ROM drive mechanisms. This new firmware insures correct sleep and wakeup behavior. G3 CD Update 2.0 replaces G3 CD Update 1.0, and is meant for use on all Power Macintosh G3 models.
Apple/GV 56K Modem Update 1.1.3 - (1/15/99) Includes Apple/GV 56K Updater 2.200 and Apple/GV 56K Updater v1.001. The Apple/GV 56K Updater 2.200 installs the V.90 protocol. If you have updated to the V.90 protocol and discover that your ISP only supports K56flex, run the Apple/GV 56K Updater v1.001 to install the K56flex protocol.
G3 CD Update 1.0 - (11/10/98) Requires: G3 systems with internal Zip drives. The G3 CD Update places new firmware on certain CD-ROM drive mechanisms. This new firmware eliminates an issue of long delays occurring during wakeup from sleep. This wakeup problem has only been observed in certain types of Power Macintosh G3 models, with a certain model of CD-ROM drive. The G3 CD Update 1.0 eliminates the cause of a problem observed in some G3 systems. In some G3 systems, if a CD is in the CD-ROM drive and the system is allowed to go to sleep, then there may be considerable delays at attempted wakeup.
