  • Well, chilluns, this is my big space. Here you'll find opinions, most of which I hold, some of which I don't, but consider interesting. None of this is meant to be antagonistic. I hope to inspire you to think about your opinions, and arrive at well-founded, correct ones; namely, mine.
Quote for now: "I'd be happy to give him [oral sex] just to thank him for keeping abortion legal."
-Former White House correspondent Nina Burleigh referring to Bill Clinton.

  • I consider myself a Republican by default, as I can't be a Democrat because I can't in good conscience vote for a pro-choice candidate and I can't ally myself with a party that has, at root, a socialist economic policy.

  • For a while, I thought I might be a Libertarian, but a quick look at their platform changed my mind for sure.

  • For further insight into my distate for libertarianism, you can check out a paper I wrote for one of my favorite professors on "The Ethics of Libertarianism" or "Why I'm not a Libertarian and you Shouldn't be Either." In Word '97 it was a 10 page paper double spaced in 12-point font, so you might want to grab a snack before beginning.

  • Please allow me to be self-serving just a bit longer by pointing you to an essay I wrote in about 20 minutes about the state of American ethics just after the whole Lewinsky thing broke. Check out my defense of Clinton's presidency.

  • If there's anything I love more than women, it's intelligent, conservative women. Sure, Barbara Bush is nice and all, but she can't hold a candle to Rightgrrls! (Definitely check out their library)

  • Writing humorously about South Carolina politics is a little like shooting fish in a paint can with a sawed-off shotgun; but still, Michael Graham does it with a special flair. Read all about it in The Usual Suspects. Do yourself a favor, though, and first read one of my favorite articles ever written by anyone.

  • Those of us who are lucky enough to live in the U.S. are blessed with what is probably the best constitution that any country has ever had. In great part, we owe that to John Locke. In homage to his great intellect, here you can download his Second Treastise on Government
