The Imperial Army

The Imperial Army is the largest ground forces unit in the entire galaxy. The purpose of the Imperial Army is of course to maintain the peace and write wrongs on those worlds where Rebel terrorism is high. The Army is the primary tool of the Emperor's New Order.
Above you, you can see three elite stormtroopers in battle armor, ready for any obstacle that modern combat can throw at them. Stormtroopers are the elite, uncorruptable arm of the Empire.

Here we see another stormtrooper. The blue ring you see surrounding him is discharge from a stun beam.
Not all infantry can become stormtroopers, but those that do are a hardy breed indeed. And the fearsome awe inspiring armor they wear definately generates respect, as well as being able to turn aside even heavy blaster fire.

Here we see an Imperial scout astride his speeder bike. These vehicles are capable of travelling at tremendous speeds, and as such, microcomputers are required in the helmet to help the scout from crashing into obstacles. The Empire is proud to report a bare minimum of casualties to these accidents.

Not everyone in the Army is infantry however. Of course other needs are required, such as supply, administration, as well as other combat posts. Below is the schematics to a turret commonly used by the Imperial artillery units. Obviously, we in the Empire are better equipped than our Rebel counterparts.

Here we can see one of our lighter armored units in battle, supported by both stormtroopers and regular infantry. This AT-ST (All Terrain Scout Transport). Standing eight and a half meters tall, they are usually quite capable of taking out open ground forces. Furthermore, despite the awkward appearance of their two-legged locomotion, internal gyros keep it from falling, even under extreme terrain.

Above we can see a formation of our heavier armored units, the AT-AT (All terrain armored transport). The Empire, having weeded out older hover tanks and juggernaut transports, favors the higher-from-the-ground models here. And rest assured, these big boys can never be tripped.
