Shiro Kamui

Kamui is a fifteen year-old Tokyo native. It is he who holds the fate of the earth and all man-kind in his grip. At first he is reluctant to accept, or even to admit his role in the final battle for Earth. Angry with the death of his mother, he lashes out on the mysterious forces and people who follow his every move when he first returns to Tokyo. (Saiki recieving most of this anger). His real reason for returning to Tokyo was to protect his childhood friends, Fuuma and Kotori Monou. He is plagued with prophetic dreams of the violent death of his childhood sweeheart (Kotori) and of his role in the fate of Earth. Eventually he is joined (somewhat forcefully) by the ever-charming Sorata. Sorata makes it his personal mission to lead Kamui down the "right-path" and to protect him from any harm.

Kamui is reluctant at first to choose sides. His only interest lies with his two best-friends. But when the Dragons of Earth learn of his desire, they instantly attack Kotori and Fuuma, leading them all into the middle of the fight. Kamui is then forced to choose sides, and his "twin star" is revealed. Kamui is thrown into a merciless battle with his former best friend, Fuuma, his twin star. Fuuma emotionlessly kills his sister in front of Kamui, and joins the Dragons of Earth. The question now is, will Kamui be able to win back Fuuma's mind from the raging psycopath that he has become, or will he be forced to kill one he came back and risked his life to protect?

Kamui is represented by the Tarot card Magician, the meaning of which isthe use of reason, discussion, and debate in order to create change. It's astrological association is the planet Mercury, symbol of communication.
