Sumeragi Subaru

Subaru says that he has no interest in the protection of Earth, his only mission is to kill Seishirou for the murder of his sister. But later after meeting Kamui and the others, he seems to agree with their mission, if only to help him complete his goal. He is the head of the Sumeragi clan and an extremely powerful magician. When Kamui retreats from reality, it is Subaru who enters his mind to bring him back (at the risk of his own life) because he understands Kamui's pain. (To have someone you love killed by another whom you love).

In recent developments of X, Subaru lost his right eye to Nataku in battle. He is very concerned because he thinks Fuuma knows his real wish.

We are first introduced to him (in X anyways) when we see him waiting for a sign from Seishirou.

Subaru is represented by the Tarot Card The Hanged Man. The Hanged Man represents a suspension of activity and a different perspective on events at hand. It's astrological association is Neptune, planet of dreams, ideals, and illusions. It's element is water.
