If you are inclined to hot weather, visit Chichen Itza during the summer solstice, when the sun shining thru the top of El Castillo causes a serpent to wind its way across the pyramid over the course of the day. If you dislike heights, or steep stairs, then refrain from climbing the pyramid. However, the view from the top is definitely worth the climb, and a chain has been provided as a hand hold for the traverse down from the summit.
