HISTORY:Raised in rural Nelson County, Virginia, as the youngest of four
sisters. When she was three she father died, and the family eventually moved to
Richmond, Virginia. She attended St. Gertrude's and did well at the all-girl school.
At 16 one of her older sisters' entered her photo in a nationally televised model
search, which was sponsored by Oprah Winfrey. Out of 6,000 applicants, she was one of 20
chosen to appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". She came away from that model search a
winner.
Leslie went on to briefly attended the University of Virginia, but by 18 she was
working full-time in New York, (she appeared in YM and Seventeen).
After she studied a three-year drama program in New York she traveled through Europe
for six months. When she returned she went to LA where she started landing both film
and television roles. She was in LA two months when she landed a role in Big Easy.
CAREER: Landed the Fox pilot Face Value and MTV pilot Talkgirl.
MISC.: She bought a mountain bike to tour New Orleans.
HOBBIES: Reading, biking, hiking, going to flee markets in search of antiques.
