GAZA, July 18 (Reuters) - A gun battle erupted on Sunday between Palestinian militants and forces loyal to Gaza's new security commander Moussa Arafat in a new flareup of violence among Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Iran cracks down on women clothes
Iranian security forces have stepped up what appears to be a major crackdown on insufficiently veiled women by launching raids on shopping centres and shops selling skimpy clothing.

According to one witness, scores of policemen - and policewomen in chadors - raided the Milad commercial centre in the west of Tehran on Sunday, and detained dozens of young women deemed not to be respecting the Islamic dress code.

They also confiscated coats they considered to be too transparent or figure-hugging.

Mullahs Turn Iran to Islamic Whorehouse, Shame on Iranians
A measure of Islamic fundamentalists' success in controlling society is the depth and totality with which they suppress the freedom and rights of women. In Iran for 25 years, the ruling mullahs have enforced humiliating and sadistic rules and punishments on women and girls, enslaving them in a gender apartheid system of segregation, forced veiling, second-class status, lashing, and stoning to death.

The head of Iran's Interpol bureau believes that the sex slave trade is one of the most profitable activities in Iran today. This criminal trade is not conducted outside the knowledge and participation of the ruling fundamentalists. Government officials themselves are involved in buying, selling, and sexually abusing women and girls.

Iran rejects Canadian observers for Kazemi trial

Iran rejected on Wednesday a request by Canada to allow its observers to attend the trial of an Iranian intelligence agent charged with the "semi-intentional murder" of a Canadian journalist.

The death a year ago of Zahra Kazemi, 54, a Canadian photographer of Iranian descent, after she was arrested for taking pictures outside Tehran's Evin prison has soured ties between Iran and Canada.

Turkish version of Star Trek (something awful)
This Turkish version of Star Trek is a complete rip off of the original Star Trek series, only the main character in this is a lecherous drunk accompanied by an entire soundboard of wacky effects. Everything about this film is below Z-grade.
