South Israeli water 'radioactive'
Israeli scientists say they have found high levels of radioactivity in water in the south of the country.
The Ben Gurion University research says that underground water levels were found to be 10 times above normal.

UGANDA-SUDAN: LRA kills over 100 villagers in southern Sudan


KAMPALA, 8 Jul 2004 (IRIN) - More than 100 people were recently killed in southern Sudan by Ugandan rebels belonging to the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in raids on villages around the towns of Torit and Juba, a relief worker in the area said.

"I have been in southern Sudan, and the reports we got indicate that the LRA attacked people in the villages and in the fields. They [the LRA] killed many of them," the relief worker told IRIN. Saying the dead numbered more than 100, he added: "The villages are situated between Torit and Juba, [and] are remote and inaccessible, because some are either in areas controlled by the SPLM/A [Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army] or the government forces."

EVEN A FROG WILL KICK THE BBC(woman gives birth to frog?)
On June 27, 2004, the BBC reported on an Iranian woman who gave birth to a frog. Their story originated from the Persian paper Etemaad.

The BBC published a photo of a frog with the caption "Tests are being carried out on the frog."

The pairing of this photo and caption implies that the frog in the photo is the Iranian woman's "frog child." It also implied that tests are being carried out on this very frog. However, we discovered that the frog in the photo is not even native to Iran.

Iran cracks down on women clothes
Iranian security forces have stepped up what appears to be a major crackdown on insufficiently veiled women by launching raids on shopping centres and shops selling skimpy clothing.

According to one witness, scores of policemen - and policewomen in chadors - raided the Milad commercial centre in the west of Tehran on Sunday, and detained dozens of young women deemed not to be respecting the Islamic dress code.
