In Memory of James Fletcher
James Fletcher
My Uncle
You taught me I didn't have to fight for what I believed in, as long as I felt I believed in what was right. You taught me people mean more than politics. You were there for me many times when I felt no one else was there. You kept me on my toes, kept me guessing, kept me going and gave me the courage to fight only if I had to, and when I had to. You showed me that any one can change if they had the right motivation. You showed me that I didn't have to be told what someone was up to in order to know what they were doing. You taught me I should never take life for granted. You shhowed me how short life can be. I learned so much from you. No one will ever take your place. I love you Uncle. Tell Uncle Jan hello from us. Between your awesome cake decorating skills, your uncanny choices of excellent movies to see, and your wonderful sense of humor, you will never be forgotten. I raise my glass to you today, knowing one day I will see you again in the Summerlands. I still want to know how you always knew when I was doing something wrong and where to find me to guide me in correcting it- and I'm still not buying that it's because you're psychic. ;o) James Fletcher died on May 5, 2002 at 5:20 PM. |
