They have a special sound that makes them quite unique, and I guess if you're not into guitars, they
are not for you.
Kyo's voice is amazing. I mean, this guy can sing clear like an angel one second and scream and growl his
lungs out the next and make it sound wonderful to boot (to say the least).
I have a thing for bands that are different than others, that have their own individuality clearly noticeable
from the very first moment you hear any of their songs. Bands that produce music that's wide in variety and not just like
any other soul-les, hit-charts song, but immediately recognizable as their own.
Just like Buck-Tick these guys are professional, characteristic and without bullshit. And that's what I
like.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you to become a fan of Dir en grey. That's totally up to you, and whether
you want to listen to these MP3s is entirely your decision. Just keep in mind that, here too, you are depriving yourself of
some serious ear-candy in case you don't.
Kaoru - guitar (gimme Kaoru as a birthday present plz!)
Toshiya - bass
But yeah, you can call me a Dir en grey fan.
Not only am I having a blast with their music, I'm also having fun watching their PVs. These music videos
are fun...really.
The more they are trying to shock you, the more fun it becomes because those PVs are indeed, if you're not
too squirmish about blood and gore, very nicely done (I know, people are going to think I'm
nuts for this).
I've had the pleasure of seeing them live in 2006, during their European It Withers and Withers Tour and
they made quite the impression. It's amazing how much sound comes out of these boys, especially Kyo (imagine the decibels
he would be able to produce if he was even just a little bit taller...I don't think anyone would survive!) and Shinya
(who totally impressed me during his several hour display of murderous pace setting).
For a detailed, most silly and totally unofficial concert review please see the link below. Never mind
the 'old' pictures I used on that page...those are meant for fun!
I'll change the MP3's on this page on a regular basis for your hearing pleasure.
This song is genious! and needs to be listened to more than once to be fully appreciated.

Warning!! Warning!! Warning!! Warning!!
This video is totally shocking!
If you can't stand blood, gore and guts...DO NOT WATCH IT!!
This song is amazing and therefor it's uploaded here.
This video is also amazing, and fun! but for a lot of people probably totally revolting and scary.
If, after all my warnings, you still watched it and are now suffering from nightmares, do
not email me complaining about this, because you have been warned.
Other than that...enjoy this masterpiece! ^_^
