            Chiharu is one of Sakura's classmates, she is also one of her closest friends.  Like Sakura, she is a member of their school's cheering club and is always full of energy.  She is seen with Takashi Yamazaki most of the  time in the anime and always contradicts his explanations about the history of things, which she considers to be a lie.  Nevertheless, they get along quite well.
