~~~Chapter one:

After Sakura & Syaoran met again, they began to loss track of time going out together, taking school as though it was a piece of cake.

"Sakura, you know... the final tests for High School is like only a few days away! Don't you think you should study at least a little bit? How about coming over to my house this afternoon?" Tomoyo asked Sakura one morning at school.

"Umm... I don't think I can today... Syaoran & I are going to the movies. How about tomorrow?" Sakura replied attempting to abolish this conversation.

"But- Sakura! You've-"

"Hey Syaoran!" Sakura yelled across the classroom where Syaoran had entered.

"Hi Sakura," Syaoran walked towards Sakura & gave her a hug.

"Sakura," Tomoyo exclaimed with annoyance.
[No reply]
"Sakura! Hey Sakura!"

"Quit that! Tomoyo, I'll go tomorrow if nothing is on ok? Don't worry about me! I'll do fine! I can study at home when I have time, Ok?" Sakura & Syaoran left Tomoyo as they hold hands & exited the noisy classroom.

"I was afraid of that..." Tomoyo stared after them.

The next day, it wasn't extremely a great surprise how Tomoyo had already joined Naoko & Chiharu's group from school. Sakura these days had excluded Tomoyo from certain activities & mostly forgotten about her all the time! Tomoyo just seemed to feel depressed about that.
Finally, it was the Exam days as all students were nervous about their tests. But soon,  no longer or later, it was all over! When Tomoyo & her classmates looked onto their marked tests, they somehow over-acted with joy & relieved of how they had received a high, above average mark. But as Sakura peeked into her embarrassing mark, her eyes filled with tears as she quickly stuffed her exam papers into her school bag & asked what Syaoran had got.

"Not extremely good, I got 59 out of 100, I passed though! Lucky me! How about you?" Syaoran replied with shame.

"I-I... got... 36 out of 100..." Sakura said lowering her head in shame and cried as she walked out of the classroom & into the girls toilet. Taking out her exam papers out again, she cried harder.

While this happened, everyone stared at Syaoran as he began to feel unhappy about it. He thought:
If I hadn't been with Sakura, she wouldn't have to receive this mark! And it's all because of me! Now, she won't be able to go onto High School all because of me! It's only me she could blame! What can I do now? ... ... ... I KNOW!! But sorry Sakura.

The Next Day

"Sakura, I'm afraid we'll have to break-up... I'm so sorry about your mark & it's actually all my fault that you've got that terrible result! I shouldn't have stopped you from going to Tomoyo's house to study! I think it's best for us to break-up... Sorry Sakura..." Syaoran told Sakura the next afternoon while the sun was setting at the park.

"But Syaoran... It doesn't matter about me... I love you... But why do you have to do that?" Sakura was in shock as she tried to ask why, keeping her tears away.

"That's just it Sakura! I want you to get good grades! And it's for your only good too!" Syaoran stopped as tears rolled down Sakura's eyes, then he continued, " Well, see you Sakura..."

Sakura stood there staring after Syaoran in the raze of the sun, shadowed on the right as she cried silently hoping it was only a dreadful dream. After awhile, she ran home as fast as she could & phoned her best friend Tomoyo- "I'm sorry, Tomoyo's currently not home, please phone later... ... ..." Sakura buried herself into her blanket & cried & cried & cried... until she cried herself to sleep...
