Durchbruch
Inspired by the changes in the Eastern Europe, sybolized by the reunion of Berlin and the fall of the Berlin Wall, close to 30 of Europes finest cartoon artists joined in making a comic book. In this book, which was called "Durchbruch" in Germany "Muren Faller" (The fall of the wall) in Norwegian, they presented their own impressions of the past fall and winters happenings. Thre result was an incredible comic book, edited by Pierre Christin and Andreas Knigge.
Bane Kerac shows a different side of himself here, with beautiful drawings, very artistic colouring and a very good story. He obviously have other sides to his talent than what he shows in "Cat Claw". Still, you recognize his pencil, and also the choice of scenery.
My absolute favourite stories in this book besides Bane Keracs, is those of Dave Gibbons, Neil Gaiman and Enki Bilal, which in this book presents the worlds shortest cartoon that still is telling a story - 2 frames...

Frame 6: «What's that? A diary?»
«Yeah... Listen to this...»
Page four:

side by side...»
(bartender) «Black coffee, as usual?»
«No, not today ...I'll have a whiskey» «It'll be enough of that in the future won't it?»
