"Mummy! Mummy!" screamed my little girl, Rei and my her little brother, Kei. "When are we going to see Grandpapa and Grandmamma?"

"We will go visit them soon, okay?" I smiled at the two youngsters.

"Okay!" They shouted.

I watched them run into the playroom, chanting, "We are going to see Grandpapa and Grandmamma soon......"

I sat down on the couch, staring out of the window. The Pacific Ocean outside the window looked really beautiful today.

Home is thousands of miles away, back in Singapore. Come to think of it, I have been away for almost twelve years. Time really flies. Before I know it, I already have two children. My my, I sure am getting old. Mum and Dad are already in their sixties and seventies respectively. I wonder how they are now. I have not seen or talk to them for twelve years. Sigh.....

I left home when I was twenty-five. One day I decided that I had enough, I packed and left. My parents never did love me, in their hearts, it was always either my sister or my brother whom they love. I had to be reprimanded and hit for their wrong-doings since young. I left with a light heart. Nobody would miss me anyway. True enough, they never bothered to look for me.

Twelve years had gone by. Now my children are asking for their grandparents.

What should I do? Call my parents? Should I still believe in the phrase 'We are still a family'?

Outside, the Pacific Ocean is as blue as the sky.
