Standing on the corner, in a freezing shower of rain, Wondering if me boyfriend has stood me up again. Peering at the faces of people passing by, Thinking, When he gets here, I'll spit right in his eye! The Town Hall clock chimes seven; I'm getting far too old To stand around, betrayed, bereft (I'm freezing bloody cold!) I've been here since a quarter to, the doorman's looking suss, I s'pose he thinks I'm on the game. Is dickhead on
this bus? No, not that one. Ill murder him for putting me though
this. Me feet are numb, and so's me brain, oh what bloody bliss! He's prob'ly with another bird, he did it once before. He thinks that when they dished out brains, I'd hid behind the door! But he knows I won't put up with it, I proved it once before. I starched his vest and underpants before showing him the door. This time I'll send a letter to the new love of his life, To tell her that he's cheating, not just me, but on his wife!
