I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm on Mum's desk,
Underneath the lamp,
Lying on her mouse.

I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm on Mum's lap,
Under the throw rug,
Sitting on her knee.

I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm in Mum's bed,
Under the doona,
Curled up near her feet.

I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm on Mum's pillow,
On her fancy pillowcase,
Wrapped around her head.

I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm in Mum's garden,
Under the flowers,
Waiting for a bird.

I know it's not cold today,
But it's warm in Mum's house,
Enjoying the freedom
Of sitting where I choose.

I know it's not cold today
But it's warm inside me
To know my Mum keeps me
Forever in her heart.
