The M1 Garand was the standard infantry weapon in World War II. It was first manufactured
in 1936 and continued until the 1950's.

Carbine

Special: The first assault rifle ever made by any country. It filled the role of the SMG and rifle. It was originally
named the STG 44 but was renamed the MP44 because orignally, Hitler refused to accept it into the Nazi army until it was changed.
The STG44 wsa the predecessor to the popular AK-47, used in the Vietnam War.
