American SMGs
Thompson (Tommygun)
Weight: 16 lbs.
Clip Size: 20 rds.
Action: Full Auto/Semi-Auto
Caliber: .45 ACP
Special: Used in WWII with strip clips that held only 20 rounds. Drum clips could hold up to 50 rounds, but were only
used in the 20s and 30s by the Mafia and other gangs. John T. Thompson who helped develop the M1903 Springfield rifle and
M1911 .45 caliber pistol, began work on a "trench broom" for close quarter combat shortly after his retirement from the Army
in 1918. He recognized that the .45 caliber slug used in the M1911 pistol would be devastating when used in a fully automatic
weapon.
German SMGs
