accurately identify and classify their English Hammered Farthings.

Overview:

In 1300, Edward I commenced on a major recoinage. Farthings were struck in large numbers between 1302 and 1327 (with slight fluctuations in the quantity minted each year). The total output between 1302 and 1309 was about 6.5 million, and from 1310 to 1327 another 6.5 million were produced. As such, the Withers Type 28 are the most common of all hammered silver farthings.
