The TSM IV is a replacement fot the IICFS which is very popular in the UK surfcasting scene. I have heard good remarks on the speedmaster and had seen people using it on their light tackle boat rod. The TSM IV is a suitable reel to tackle rough ground like Tanjong Rhu end or Marina South breakwater. It can take quite a lot of line so should also deem fit for jetty use.

The TLD15 is a popular reel at Bedok Jetty. The Shimano has a very smooth drag due to the usage of Titanium for as its drag material. However, I would not recommend this reel to newcomers because the TLD 15 is very fast; no cast control is available on the reel. The TLD 15 can accomodate enough line to be used at Bedok Jetty. Do not expect it to be used at the beaches.
