Haha ... sorry Reins, tomorrow. I should finish at about 6 seeing clients are not overtime people (see para below) and maybe we can do dinner. Taking last flight at 11:50 so should have some time.

Client was chasing me and chasing me to get my a** to KL to the point she was like asking me to take the first plane out which was about 5 minutes from our conversation (at was 1:45 and I could have made the 1:50 flight had I been able to speak to her - except she went for a 2 hour lunch). I told her point blank. "Ok, I'll take the next possible flight at 3 but can you work late tonite since I'll only be here at 5?"

"Uhm, kit why don't you come tomorrow."

The partner nearly choked laughing when he heard about it.

On the other hand, this means I get to go to the boy's drink out tonite. I don't know to be flattered or disturbed I'm now "one of the guys". Sometimes I feel like an uglier stupider version of Integra sans guardian demons Walter and Alucard (can match her temper and bitchiness tho') - I have lost count of how many times I've been mistaken for a boy or called one of the guys. Ahh well, it doesn't really matter.

But where is my Alucard? *looks around* ... better not insult Integra by comparing myself to her ^__^;;

Came back from a meeting to find note on desk.

"Dear Kit, so and so called. Please turn up at KL for meeting at 10 tomorrow."

WHAT THE *eyeballs fall out* I'm up to here in work but that's not the problem, the problem is that so and so thinks I have a private jet at my disposal!!! Waiiiii ... called so and so and admitted I did not have my own private plane will try to arrive tues afternoon instead or wednesday morning.

Or as my colleague said, maybe the esteemed person in question thinks that KL is a five minute jog from Singapore.

And I have to turn up in court tomorrow for a minor matter.

I passed my Jap test.

Oral wasn't so hot. I know my mistakes - I definitely got one question totally off the mark, plus I sound like a non-Asian even when speaking Mandarin. My spoken Jap is a bit slow and I tend to require more time to collect my thoughts since I think in English. Strangely when writing I don't think in English - which explains why my oral is rather iffy. Must amend error. But happily, my written made it - sans one of 2 careless mistakes that I realised after handing in the paper and the fact I actually fell asleep during listening comprehension so I could hardly answer any of the questions posed later save that I could exclude the answers that were obviously wrong e.g. ashita yamada-san wa doko e ikundeshita ka? Answer: (a) kaimono ni ikundesu. (b) eega ni ikundeshita. (c) hai, ikundeshita. (d) toshukun e ikundeshita.

Well, it's obvious (a) and (c) are wrong but you had to be awake to figure out whether Yamada was at the movie or the library ... Bah!!! *kicks self* But I'm really happy nonetheless, the oral result remained about the same but my written bested my first term's so:

Ever tried rebonding?

It makes your hair Asian straight and the effects stay pretty good for some time. Some of the people here swear even their new grown hair remains straight. Risk of damage to hair tho if your hairdresser doesn't do the job properly.

Have you received all your stuff - WA 1 and 2, Asuka - Aug, Executive Committee 1 and 2?

I thought all 4 marauders were in the same house rather than like one per house. Remus, James and Sirius are definitely Gry material. Plus it's generally like 4 to 5 boys a year to a dorm so for all you know, the marauders were dorm-mates too.

2. Report on my life just because this is my blog -

8pm - left office, went to Boon Lay and yakked with Donald and Alvin. Yakked and joked with guys whole nite until 9:30 talking rubbish. Had fun jesting with Alvin about something ~ unfortunately cannot remember now ~ and cousin's bf turned up so 4 of us talking about manga etc. until 10. Gripped about how hard it was to get Hellsing anime. Will bug either El or oniichan for it ^__^ oniichan doesn't think I can't wake up at 5 today having woke at 4 on Fri ... ha! Exchanged ideas on doujin and oniichan is surprised at what El and I came up with. New idea - Legend of Black Snake-chan - oniichan is a good friend to bounce ideas off. Now to speak with chronus about cutting some slack.

11pm - reached home after meandering all around Clementi. for a tired kitty, was still reved up. amazed at self's energy level at times.

mn - snooze after setting alarm clock.

5am - woke ... amazing ... ate breakfast, read manga purchased yesterday

6:30am - arrive at office, security guard smiles at me - probably will get to know him well like security guards at ex-firm. after all how many people arrive for work at a law firm at 6 and in slippers. Tenpou rubbing off on me except I left spare ear cuffs at home

7:30am - shit, fell asleep in chair for 30 mins halfway sorting documents ... note to self, play radio as soon as arrive in office

8:30am - finish sorting documents. realised secretary made a little boo boo on file. must contact court to rectify error. minor one really no piece of sh*t but suspect senior will panicking so will go fix it before he freaks. been said to have laidback personality, that's why bloodpressure low and no need for glasses *evil smirk*

8:35am - hugged eriol the sheep ~ cuddly

8:45am - walk to Macs with documents, big breakfast: yum

9:30am - finish breakfast on roof top, macs staff keep coming to check on me ... do I look like a druggy and they're afraid I'll jump off roof? Nah, they thought I would smoke but when I didn't were surprised ... then again they probably think I'm underaged to smoke. I like sitting in the open. Love the breeze tho' most of my countrymen require aircon like no one's business

Me am weird, no excuses. Chatted with Macs people about how intelligent crows are. Decided to rush back coz email shutting down at 10 and need to print stuff.

will walk to court now and arrange to mail off manga. Should I come back to work until I meet sis for dinner or should i carry work home - maybe the latter since i am going to try to wake up early tom, work, jog and prepare for my exam. And before lunch ends and before I forget it completely, the Alucard and Integra DJ plans (thanks El):

Story 1 - Integra is out for the knights of the round meeting. Ends up pissed coz everyone's shoved the work to her but is too proud to say she's tired ... Walter is preparing soup for his missy when she gets back. He notes it's late. Asks Alucard to go out and fetch missy-sama home. Alucard whines and complains he's busy. Walter hits him on head with soup ladle pointing out he's doing nothing. Walter needs to watch over the fire so he can't go. Alucard whines about Seras not being asked to go. Walter points out Seras is a girl and she's playing PS anyway. Alucard mutters under his breath about Walter favoring daughters over sons and walks out.

Integrama is pissed drunk but manages to clamber home. Sitting at bushes near gate and giggling like a schoolgirl. Alucard still grumbling spots her and is relieved he won't have to go too far ... gets pissed when giggly Integra ducks into bushes coz she doesn't want to go home "yet". Alucard whines ... "I'm a vampire not a nanny damnit!" Suddenly Integra's hand pops out, catches Alucard's foot and drags him into bushes.

Next morning ... Integra wakes in bed looking dishevelled ... headache and hangover while Walter worries over his "little girl". Camera pans to a chibi Alucard sulking in the basement sans hat. Seras is still hooked on her game.

Story 2 - Walter is knitting and watching Nekkid chef while complaining about Seras and Integra not getting home for dinner on time. Knit knit ... hours pass. Girls are finally home, Seras with bf Pip. Nag nag ... Integra reminds Walter he is meeting his old friends tonite. Walter goes off to comb his hair.

Seras wonders what Walter would look like - Pip wonders if he'll look at John T Sat Nite Fever. Walter pops out looking like young god of death again - complains a bit about old men having trouble with contact lenses and leaves after kissing Integra and Seras on the hands - oh so gentlemanly. Seras swoons and Integra can't help but blush. Pip at back protesting. Alucard at far back doing the cliched jealous thingee of biting his hanky.

Story 3 - Haven't figured it out yet but Integra needs to get seriously drunk again maybe so will Seras - and Alucard gets into trouble again. Pip will have to pick up Seras if she gets sloshed but his treatment is very different from Alucard. Maybe fluffy at the end - think Integra and Alucard with pinch each other's ... noses (what were you thinking?) while Walter does some stupid "father of the bride" impression.

Need time. Jikan ga arimasen.

I like the Vampire D movie but while the English dubbing is not too bad, I tend to agree with Met' that Jap dubbing would have been quite superb.

Everyone - including Meia and Leareth have new layouts. I want new layout too!!! Reins, uhm ... maybe they'll open a shop in KL or something? Anyhow, Masako doko e desuka?

I really should be working but am dreaming of my new manga - "The gorgeous life of Strawberry-chan" - yup, that's the maiden work by the wonderful Ai M who brought you "The Poor Prince" manga.

Inspired to do a new series "The new legends of White Snake" only that I have not even finished the old one.

My mum was right. I have the attention span of a 3 year old. Last nite's MG was mushy. Somehow I find Xiaoyou and Ximen more interesting than Shancai and DMS now that the latter have discovered they like each other. The show is not so hot but I still maintain that the scriptwriter is a genius or were these lines in the original manga? Have heard mixed reviews on the manga - from funny and great to silly and an excuse to rip off fans. So which is it? To buy or not? The fact it's 31 volumes is not one small consideration. Maybe I should rent it first ... hmmm ...

Well, am relating to *of all people -slaps forehead in horror* Ximen coz my attention span for things don't outlast a week too. So that doesn't make me a "bu shi ge hao ren" too? Only that I'm not good looking, rich and charming - darn!!!

It's not that suspect really. I just keep double dating my friends. Chances are people say "let's do lunch or dinner etc." and I just agree on the spot only to go home check my brain and realise "UGH!!! I've already promised other people last week or last month or yesterday to do lunch at the same time!!!"

It's not like anything scandalous really.

Hmm, Jap class is fun but my school is a bit of a cram school which is what I like anyway since normal paced classes tend to require a longer committment of time. Made new friends - very interesting people. 2 of them look like siblings so I keep teasing them.

Really ... they're not like twins but they look like they're really related.

I've just concluded. I need a boyfriend for the sole reason I need someone to help pack my room, carry my luggage when I'm on a trip and to yell at when stressed. Any takers? Mhahwhahahaha ...

The purple haired Tats is in this game called Tokimeki Memorial. It's a dating sim game, yeah... focusing on a guy's point of view. BUT! There is a flip version for GIRLS XDDD I saw Aimo's game.... and purple haired Tat-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! Was there! XDDDD He was driving like Tat-chan (that determined face!)... he didn't do the glasses thing but... it was Tat-chan!! With purple hair!!!

HELP!!! My friends are talking about kids, properties, wedding dates, fixing people up etc. etc.

And all I'm concerned with is the fact I'm behind schedule translating Executive Committee and Saiyuki and when Zero Sum August is arriving. Meep ... when asked for a suggestion where to fix up 2 friends of ours without breaking the bank, I suggested a little hawker centre at Serangooon which in my view is good value for money and is quite a fun place to go. The suggestion promptly got 4 foreheads slapped on the desk. Uh, thank goodness I didn't mention a movie and burgers? ^ ^;;

What!??? *stares at Clow sniggering* It's not like a first meeting should be a wine and dine at some swanky wanky joint right? I've been told I still think like a college student ... do I?

Oh, for all Singaporeans please note that Karekano will be having a One Piece / pirate special on 27th and 28th July 2002.

I glanced thru the email quite quickly but something about discounts if you cosplay a pirate on the 27th and that Luffy and Chopper will be taking over the shop that day *giggles* ... this I have to see. 28th is designated pirate day so looks like we got some booty to haul mates.

Note to self - Friday dinner is booked up. This means I'll just pop up to Boon Lay on Sat instead. I could go on Sunday after the test but I'm afraid that if I fail I'll go nuts and buy everything in sight ^ ^;;

Uh *raises hand guiltly* I liked orientation ... and did I mention that last nite Meteor Garden was really hilarious ... my sister and I were laughing so hard my mum came out to the living room to see what was up. DMS is such a caveman and MZ is becoming more and more like a bored housewife who drops in on her friends to chat. The bus scene was hilarious and Yu-sao is becoming really endearing. Me thinks that as long as someone bumps of DMF, life would be peachy for the rest of the world.

I wonder how things are going to end within the next 3 episodes ...

Speaking of freshman, I miss my law school days.

Our orientation was one of a kind, in particular one event ... heard some other clubs tried to copy us but as freshman got injured, they got quite a bit of flak. Yep, everyone starts out hopeful but become wonderfully cynical in the end. And ragging is quite fun depending on what you mean by rag. Soaking someone's head in a toilet bowl is NOT funny. Running around Orchard playing silly but harmless games (not including the gag of standing in the middle of the road and dancing which one uni whom I shall not name - they got hell for that) is actually quite fun. For one, especially in smaller faculties like law, it's important you get to know people ... so doing silly things generally help. For those who think they're too old for such stuff, there's no penalty in not attending orientation so that's fine.

Gosh, I would love to be 19 again. I didn't have enuff fun and now I'm an old haggard ugly fat crone rotting in my chair ... *sobs*

Made sushi for breakfast today. Considering I've not made sushi since Christmas, I would say the attempt was pretty okay. It's a dry run coz one of my friends has asked me to make sushi for her. She's 75 and diabetic so the commercially prepared sushi is not really good for her. Gosh, I'm getting too domesticated ... Noooo!!! GET OUT THE MUD AND ALL I SAY ... *runs off*

Hmm ... what if I spoke really nicely and just went along with "gracias" and grovelled for help? I'm hardly a linguist altho I have a knack for trooping into countries where English is not the main language - so my little brain really can't manage too much beyond 'thank you' really.

When one considers the number of languages spoken all over the place, me thinks as a silly and confused tourist I should pass the nice tourist test as long as I smile a lot and ask nicely and try to get 'thank you' correct. Then again coz I generally do get mistaken for a Japanese outside Asia I guess bowing like crazy and saying Japanese toned "sankyuuu" could be a ploy of last resort.

Alternatively someone should publish a book with tips on how to say "hi" "help" "excuse me" and "thank you" in as many languages possible and hopefully in a little booklet form you can drag on a trip in your jeans pocket.

I've tried communicating in Austria by pointing to a German-English dictionary alot but found it much easier just to run to the tourist office for help (when there's only one boat down the danube river a day for the period you're there and you think you're running out of time but can't find the darn boat - trust me, your brain is so fried it's a mercy you can read the sign that says "tourist office").

On a side note, been busy struggling with Jap class and work recently so gomen to having ignored everyone for say ... the last few months? Getting on quite well with 3 other classmates, one's a teacher, another's an army boy and the third is a really genki 15 year old secondary student. Planning to study with them over the weekend since test is coming up. They're talking about co-ordinating our next few courses so we get to be classmates again. They're really cute but damn I feel old. Gosh, they're only what ... 22, 20 and 15? Heck I am OLD *sobs*.

Strangely a friend of mine commented it's freaky how age doesn't seem to really matter with me in making friends ... according to him, people make friends more easily with their own sex and age but my friends range from 5 to 80. Well that earned him a punch on leg. The second comment that I don't or can't seem to behave like a girl got him a well deserved kick in the shin. Seriously, is he my friend or my enemy? *sulks* But it's nice to know more people ... why should age, race or sex matter? I just hope they don't think I am some weirdo ... altho the truth is ... I probably am.

Was working today when really needed more cases. Couldn' find them in the library and couldn't find them in lexis so grabbed laptop and notes and scuttered down to NUS again. In my hurry, I left with my duffle bag instead of my business bag, my vest instead of my jacket and my slippers instead of my shoes. Also forgot to takeoff my ear cuffs. What a sight I must have been.

I blame Tenpou. It's his bad influence I tell ya.

And Meteor Garden hasn't been funny since Tues. They should stick to comedy, their melodrama sucks.
