The UN Scandal, Canada and Kyoto

By

James Bredin

Who was involved in Saddam’s UN oil for food scandal?

Why we know their names – they all got a handle,

Mismanagement on a scale never seen before,

Then many retired, took the money and ran out the door.

Though our managed media then put it all in print,

Monstrous boondoggle and graft down to a the last hint,

Who ran those shredding machines to hide the paper trail?

Millions and billions coming their way without fail.

Supposed to be a humanitarian event,

Which Saddam and his friends decided to circumvent,

Then graft and fraud to stop auditors on their tracks,

Nothing is wrong at the UN so everyone relax.

They did it for years, for every dollar they could squeeze,

And when the shit hit the fan, the UN paid their legal fees,

Allegations of fraud and theft were all bound to fail,

The paper shredder worked so no need for bail.

Kofi’s son Kojo was in it but this was denied,

How could the son of the Secretary General have lied?

The second interim Report meant nothing at the UN,

It’s all over, water under the bridge, amen.

Kofi’s job is up for grabs sometime this year,

Canadian adscam politicians in line up I fear,

Payback for Kyoto – a boondoggle in the making,

Lots of photo ops and even more picture taking.

Kyoto and the adscam guys

By

James Bredin

The Communists do their groundwork well in advance,

Attended all the meetings and could tell at a glance,

Like little religious zealot socialist hordes,

They know all about the Kyoto accords.

The US and Australians refuse to be involved,

China and India have been absolved,

But adscam guys kept Canada nose to the grindstone,

UN Kofi’s policies relatively unknown.

Under the table way to fund developing nations,

No referendums but forced taxpayers’ donations,

As they claim that we’ve exceeded their emission caps,

Assigned to us in their maneuvering traps.

Because we will all be equal in their great design,

Some may be more equal but you can’t malign,

But we’re already taxed plus GST up to our ears,

And adscam guys tell us not to have any fears.

We believe the adscam guys despite their scandals,

Even if and when we go to bed using a candle,

Like multiculturalism you can’t point a finger,

Or find fault or try to change things or even linger.

I’m glad I finally got your attention,

Because so few have Kyoto comprehension,

We don’t realize what the adscam guys have done yet,

It’s in our near future and we’re not likely to forget.

Kyoto Bureaucratic Boondoggle

By

James Bredin

Is Kyoto a bureaucratic boondoggle?

With enough bungling to bring you brain to boggle,

Like the gun registry – billions and billions more,

Hire more bureaucrats and listen to them snore.

The US and Australia refuse to go along,

Democracies unlike Canada that are quite strong,

Our official announcements by government decrees,

No referendum input so get down on you knees.

Though India and China are both excused,

But our adscam officials are never confused,

These bone headed totalitarian politicians,

Get a slap on the back for these dumb UN missions.

Like little religious or communist nuts,

As they hide the fact that they are adscam klutz,

Believe that the sky may indeed fall by next week,

And we better fall in line or our future is bleak.

Kyoto Courage

By

James Bredin

The U.S. and Australia refused to tag along,

China and India were excused; right or wrong,

Still, our bone headed politicians just pushed on,

They can’t be convinced that Kyoto might be wrong.

Another government boondoggle has appeared,

Like gun registry – useless again it is feared,

But the UN loves a boondoggle more than most,

No referendums and can’t think of this as morose.

Government bureaucracies can’t stop climate change,

It’s cyclical and ongoing and it’s not very strange,

Add adscam politicians in a strange religious cult,

Could this be the ultimate Canadian insult?

We’re not allowed to show any disapproval,

Just every five years for one politician’s removal,

But we’re not allowed to vote for our prime minister,

Could this be dictatorial or sinister?

And why pray tell do we get leadership from hell?

Corrupt adscam politicians who never say farewell,

Lounge lizard Liberals with envelopes full of cash,

Then claim that they have changed in this election bash.

Kyoto Agreement Idealism

By

James Bredin

The unemployed will eventually realize,

And come around to believe and idealize,

But having no income is not advantageous,

And hungry kids might no be so courageous.

For the greater cause of Kyoto agreement,

Stop those right wing elements who are vehement,

They can take their jobs to China, India or Hong Kong,

Or to New York State and go back where they belong.

Because the left wing religion will stop pollution,

Kyoto protocol will be the final solution,

And everyone will be happy for the greater good,

This is only reasonable and should be understood.

It’s just amazing why everyone can’t see the light,

Canadians should cheer for Kyoto with mad delight,

And do what they’re told in this repressive place,

As the Soviet Union; obedient in disgrace.

Too bad we have to learn the hard way,

That being obedient to politicians doesn’t pay,

The adscam guys will make us unemployed slaves,

Filling Kyoto requirements to our graves.

The Canadian-Kyoto Protocol

By

James Bredin

Jean Chretien foisted Kyoto on us all,

Impressed environmentalists that the sky might fall,

And special-interest types all paid attention to him,

He’d lead them to glory, clean air and no sin.

Ratification rammed through with short discussions,

No one allowed to discuss the repercussions,

Certain industries might be forced to shut down,

Unemployed would understand as they stood around.

Americans and Australians did not go along,

India and China were excused by this UN throng,

But Chretien, the UN hero, continued to push on,

Not a chance in hell that this would be withdrawn.

Years have come and gone and this is not concluded,

With the adscam conspiracy always secluded,

Martin now leads all these Liberal politicians,

They haven’t changed one bit in their left-wing ambitions.

Can’t criticize Kyoto

By

James Bredin

Will we sacrifice our economy for Kyoto goals?

Have our politicians gone out and sold their souls?

Have they lost their minds as they stand and criticize?

Blame the Americans and try to polarize.

Thump their chest and blame everyone but themselves,

Vote for them and we have no one to blame but ourselves,

Are we so blind we can’t read the writing on the wall?

Global warming is natural and beyond our call.

Geology reveals that it happened many times before,

As our blind politicians use it to try and score,

The sky might fall tomorrow so we have to vote for them,

Otherwise they’ll huff and they’ll puff and they’ll condemn.

The Americans are not going along on this,

And China and India are getting a UN kiss,

But our bonehead politicians belong to this cult,

And we’re all being dragged along as a result.

For a left-wing ideology that sounds so great,

That can’t be discussed and we’ll have no debate,

No referendums or recall for politicians,

And no jobs in conditions without emissions.

I am sorry, Alberta

By

James Bredin

I’m sorry Alberta, I’m the boss or didn’t you know?

I live in Ottawa and I’ve watched your tar sands grow and grow,

You remember the National Energy Program I’m sure,

You’re getting uppity so we’ll do it again to make you poor.

Just because the Conservatives threw that program out,

You don’t vote properly so there never was much of a doubt,

And this time we may throw in a little bit of extortion,

Because you’re a small province and rich out of proportion.

And Ralph’s rant about a provincial firewall was all bluff,

Remember we’re the Adscam guys and we never get enough,

We need more money for Quebec, kickbacks and equalization,

Or maybe to stash some away in some secret foundation.

Sorry Alberta but you will just have to pay and pay,

Because here in Ottawa you don’t have the numbers or the sway,

We appoint your senators so guess where they all stand?

You’ll have to send us billions for all your rich tar sand.

There are no referendums, recall or term limits allowed,

And you’re way out of proportion; you’re such a small crowd,

And feedbacks are forbidden forever by Ottawa decree,

We don’t want any argument so you better agree.

Sorry Alberta but you’re just not like Quebec,

They get special attention and your money if you care to check,

And our prime ministers mostly come from over there,

So send more money to Ottawa and show us that you care.

Environment from Hell

By

James Bredin

Of course you’ll understand when they close the plant down,

And move to the US and you are left with a frown,

Because it’s for our own good politicians say,

We’ll breathe clean air and our added taxes will pay.

It’s the learning process of progress in reverse,

As Kyoto is imposed with no need to converse,

A mental illness virus plague straight from hell,

Environmental stuff they all managed to sell.

We seem to have bought it all, hook line and sinker?

Ottawa is noted for only one honest thinker,

Foundations get money and Sheila doesn’t know why,

They’re illusive as a UFO up in the sky.

Politicians nod their heads and we tend to believe,

Would politicians and foundations ever deceive?

They don’t need parliamentary approval,

Mysterious entities beyond our perusal.

And you can’t ask and you can’t tell and you don’t know,

Distracting media information comes like snow,

Important stuff in Africa or United Nations,

Are they more important than US relations?

Would the Adscam guys lie and what remains hidden?

Can’t look, can’t see, because they say it’s forbidden,

Did they shoot themselves in the foot or the neck?

Money laundering or equalization in Quebec.

Is the United Nations past its best-by Date?

By

James Bredin

Has the United Nations gone passed its best-by date?

Full of their own propaganda and pompous debate,

Sending peacekeepers to Africa and here and there,

Push Kyoto and International Court they declare.

Should Kyoto be adapted or just shut down?

A secret system to increase foreign aid all around,

A mean method to assist their developing friends,

So some dictators and warlords can advance their own ends.

George Bush didn’t like Kyoto and he didn’t join,

We did though sitting downwind and we also adjoin,

In Canada we’re in it up to our taxpaying necks,

Our government will be writing all those Kyoto checks.

Our politicians have bought it hook line and sinker,

Signed the dotted line International socialist tinker,

And smoky factories might have to be closed down,

And leave you the worker with nothing but a frown.

I suggest we retire from the United Nations,

Send a message, make a stand and withdraw our donations,

When was the last time our politicians took a bold stand?

We are merely obedient numbers at their command.
