Knight Job
Description The knight job fills the needs exactly when you need someone with good attack, defense, and high hit points. One of the better classes, period. The only down fall is that the knight is by definition slow, so you'll need things that battle boots, and the move+1 ability to give the character more versatility. The second action ability can be either Item or Basic skill, depending whether you want healing/reviving capability or ranged attacks. Note that like all Equip support abilities, you don't actually need those abilities when you are the given class, but you might need it for other classes. E.g. Equip armor lets the monk wear armor...(but the knight already is able to do this, so knights do not need that support ability)
Uses Close combat, close combat, close combat. High hit points usually means these guys are the last to go, as the computer picks on characters with the lowest hit points first(try to use this to your advantage). Abilities you should try to pick up when you are this class are: Equip Armor, and maybe some of the breaks. Equip armor takes 500 JP, and you might be in a rush to try out the 'better' classes, so you might or might not decide the breaks. By far, the break weapon, and break armor are the best, followed by break helmet and break shield. Break weapon will prevent an close combat enemy(such as a knight) from doing nearly as much damage, and break armor will usually GREATLY decrease the enemy's hit points, in essence accomplishing as much as attacking.
Tactics Get close and attack. That's what knights do best, and so that's what you should do. Try to get multiple knights to gang up one single enemy characters, to minimize the amount of close combat damage you receive back. Since the knight is so slow, it might be wise to invest in Battle Boots and the Move+1 ability. These will allow you to get to those annoying wizards much faster, and thus minimizing the amount of damage you receive.
