Ramsay Street's Stephanie is set for heartbreak

You can’t get a more romantic scenario than camping by a river, with nothing but the breeze and the sound of birds to distract you from your companion. That’s exactly where Ramsay Street’s Stephanie Scully and Drew Kirk find themselves this week but, for this unlikely pairing, the attraction is one- sided.

 When Stephanie finally summons the courage to tell Drew how she really feels about him, things don’t exactly go to plan. “Steph and Drew go to the mountains to get away from it all and, as far as everyone else knows there’s no suggestion of them being any more than friends,” says Carla Bonner, who plays the lovesick character. “But when they get there, Steph gets swept up by the romantic atmosphere and decides to tell Drew how she really feels.”

 “She’s just about to come out with it when Drew confides that he’s still in love with Libby. This cuts Steph like a knife and, after that, she can’t tell him and she goes home broken- hearted.” While the weekend’s outcome is not as positive as Stephanie hoped, all is not lost. Carla says that Stephanie’s campaign to win Drew is far from over. “She won’t give up so easily,” Carla teases. “She’s been in love with him for a long time- it will take more than this for her to get over him.”
