Karl is
riding his bike and goes to the garage to get it pumped. Drew offers to it for
Karl and makes a passing comment about that they might just have to get used to
him not being in Erinsborough. Karl is concerned about this and asks Drew more
about him leaving. Drew is seriously considering it and tells Karl that he never
thought that he¡¦ll stay in Erinsborough forever anyway. Karl tells him that
it¡¦s fair enough. Later at the coffee shop, Karl tells Susan this news. Susan
comments that he has hung on so long for Libby to change her mind. Karl
confesses to Susan that he is actually glad that Drew is taking charge because
for the past months, he has felt so guilty about what had happened. Susan
suggests to Karl that Drew¡¦s decision to leave might have something to do with
Geoff and that she could say something to Drew about it, but Karl tells her not
to because it¡¦s none of her business. At home
that day, Libby is on the computer when Susan comes home.
She tells Libby that she heard that Drew is going back to Oakey. This
news as didn¡¦t make Libby react in anyway. Yet. Libby just tells Susan that
Ron must have finally got to Libby. In a passing comment, Susan tells Libby that
there must be a lot of girls who would be glad to see Drew back. Libby asks why
Susan said that. Her attitude changes and becomes upset about it all. Libby
becomes defensive and says it¡¦s good he has finally given up on her and will
probably be married in a year or so since he¡¦s the marrying type of person. Later at
the coffee shop, Libby is sitting there thinking about the situation when Drew
comes in to get some coffee. Drew says hi to Libby and acknowledges that she is
there, but it seems pretty obvious that he doesn¡¦t really want to say much to
her. Libby asks Drew about the rumour that he¡¦s going back, and Drew tells her
it¡¦s true and that it¡¦s a good idea. Libby asks if it¡¦s because of family
he is going back and Drew tells her in a way it is. Libby suggests that they
could still be friends and keep in touch but Drew doesn¡¦t want that- he
doesn¡¦t want to be friends. Libby leaves after she gets her coffee. At night,
Drew discusses about him leaving with Lou. Lou tells him that he can see why he
wants to leave but reminds him that running away won¡¦t solve any problems, it
will always be there. That
night, at the Kennedy¡¦s, Libby tells Karl and Susan that she¡¦s going back to
her original plans of leaving Erinsborough to go overseas. This causes a stir at
the household which turns into a huge argument. Karl strongly disagrees with her
idea, and tells her that she should finish Uni. Before she make any plans seeing
that Libby wants to go overseas not only for a holiday, but to work there as
well. Karl and Libby has a big argument before Libby goes off and Susan tells
Karl to stop it. The next morning just as Libby is about to leave home, Karl
apologizes to Libby and vice versa. Libby tells him that she won¡¦t be going
anywhere before thinking it through. Just as Libby opens the door, Dione comes
in with a pink wig, surprising them all. Dione suggests to meet up with Libby
later because she has to talk to her about something- Libby agrees at the coffee
shop and leaves. At the
Scully¡¦s, Steph is still in her PJs and having breakfast when Libby comes in.
She suggests that they go out for fun. Steph tells her she has plans but Libby
suggests not now, but later that night. Steph is not sure about this and asks
Libby if she¡¦s heard about Drew and how she feels about it. Libby tells her
she¡¦s fine but doesn¡¦t want to talk about it. Steph tells her that Libby
just has to say the words and Drew won¡¦t leave. Libby doesn¡¦t believe this.
Steph tells Libby that she doesn¡¦t feel like going out that night and that she
could ask Tess or Dione. At the
garage, Lou has just put up a sign saying ¡¥mechanic wanted.?Lou is hurt
about the fact that Drew is going away, but Drew tells him to stop nagging about
it. Later Steph comes and sees the sign, realizing that it¡¦s official. She¡¦s
not too happy about it either. Lou leaves and Steph asks Drew if he¡¦s given up
on Libby. Drew tells her that Libby is seeing other men and it¡¦s stupid to
hang around. It¡¦s time for him to move on. Later that day, Steph goes to see
Toadie at No.30. She¡¦s pretty upset about it all and asks Toadie if she should
tell Drew about her feelings. Toadie advises her not to or else she¡¦s going to
get hurt by it all. At the pub
Lou and Toadie are talking about Drew leaving. They both agree that they don¡¦t
want Drew to go. Lou says that it¡¦ll break Libby¡¦s heart but Toadie comments
that it doesn¡¦t seem as though Libby cares. Lou tells him that she does. Woman
always behave in opposites, they say one thing and mean another. At the coffee
shop, Dione and Libby are having lunch, and Dione suggests that they get a hunky
guy and take photos of him wearing wigs for the newspaper. Libby suggests that
they could ask Joel but Dione says they aren¡¦t really in good terms and
suggests Drew. Libby isn¡¦t sure about it all but tells Dione that it¡¦s fine. Later that
day, back at the garage, Steph comes to visit Drew. There¡¦s obviously
something in the mind that she wants to say. Finally she tells Drew that she
doesn¡¦t want him to go because she¡¦ll miss him too much. Before Drew could
answer, Dione and Libby comes in ready to take photos of Drew in a wig. At
first, Drew refuses but with much convincing he agrees only if Steph does it.
They get ready for the shoot. Dione
is very excited, Libby doesn¡¦t seem as though she wants to be there, Steph
seems pretty uncomfortable and so does Drew. Still, they continue with the
shoot. They did a few funny ones, close one, serious ones etc. Then back at
home, Susan and Karl talk to Libby for a bit before she goes into her room.
Susan and Karl realizes that something must have upset her again. Drew goes
to the Scully¡¦s and knocks on the door but no one answers. This is because
Steph is in the shower and no one else is home. When Steph gets out of the
shower to see who it is, she sees Drew going to no. 30. At No.30 Drew talks to
Toadie a bit about Steph. Drew tells Toadie that Steph came to see him today.
Toadie jumps to the wrong conclusion thinking that Steph told Drew how she felt.
Toadie comments about this thus dropping the bombshell. Just as this bombshell
is dropped, Steph comes running into no.30 asking Drew what¡¦s up. Drew tells
her that it¡¦s nothing. Steph tells them that she better go back home to dry
her hair. Toadie apologizes her telling Drew who is obviously confused and
doesn¡¦t know what to say. Drew tells Toadie that he doesn¡¦t know what to do
and needs to think- he goes back home. That night
at the Scully¡¦s, Drew asks Steph about what Toadie said. Steph confesses and
says she does love him and that he can that he can hate her now because she¡¦s
so miserable, it can¡¦t get much worse. Drew apologizes to Steph about using
her as a shoulder to cry on. They talk briefly before Libby knocks on the door
since that her and Steph were suppose to go out. Libby comes in and sees Drew.
Steph tells her to wait a sec so she can go grab her things. Libby and Drew talk
for a little. First about where they are going that night, then about Drew
returning to Oakey. Libby asks when he¡¦ll be going and that they¡¦ll be a big
party when he gets back. Drew tells her that in Oakey any excuse is a good
excuse for a party. Steph comes back and they get set to go. Libby and
Steph are at the pub playing pool. Libby is asking Steph about Drew and that if
he is happy about going back. Steph tells Libby that Drew says he is. Neither of
them seems to be in a party mood that night. After Libby shows Steph the photos
with the wig, Steph tells Libby that she has to go home because of a stomach
thing. She apologizes and says that she¡¦ll call her. At Drew¡¦s, he is on the
phone with his mum and tells her that the sooner he goes back to Oakey the
better. Later Toadie comes to visit Steph and asks how she is. Steph tells him
that it¡¦s good to get it off her chest and that Drew will never love her
because he loves Libby. She is extremely upset about this. Drew is
looking at old photos of him and Libby dancing at the Rodeo Ball when Susan
comes to visit. Susan asks if it¡¦s definite and Drew tells her that it is.
Susan asks maybe he could give himself more with Libby, but Drew tells her
there¡¦s no point. He has to put it behind him somehow and get one with his
life, and it¡¦ll best be done back at Oakey. Susan tells him that he¡¦s come
one of the family and she will miss him a lot. They hug. Early next morning, Libby comes out to get the newspaper and sees Drew getting into the car. Drew sees her too. They look at each other for a while before Libby runs back into the house and Drew drives off. All of this is witnessed by Steph and she realizes that they obviously love each other. She mutters to herself that they are ¡¥idiots?and goes to see Libby at the Kennedy¡¦s. Steph gets straight to the point when she talked to Libby. She asks Libby what she is going to do about Drew. Libby is surprised by the question and doesn¡¦t know why the question is raised. She tells her that there¡¦s nothing to do, they aren¡¦t a couple anymore so Drew can do whatever he likes. It¡¦s his decision and his mind is made up. Steph tells Libby that she could change it, all she has to do is snap her fingers. She says that they love each other and Libby would be crazy to let him go.
At the Kennedy's, Karl comments to Libby after the photo she took of Drew and Steph. Libby tells her father that the kids are coming to the house today. Karl didn't realize it was so soon and starts to get Libby to make the house 'kid proof' but before either of them could do anything, Susan comes in was a luggage and two kids. She introduces Leo and Emily to Libby and Karl. Karl tries to talk to them but they are extremely quiet, especially Leo who doesn't say a single thing. Susan suggest that they go to the park after packing some lunch. Leo and Emily begins to fight over Emily's soft toy but Karl settles them down. Libby and Susan just looks on. Later at the Kennedy's, Libby is trying to study while Karl tries to talk to Leo and Susan is playing with Emily. They don't have much success and when Karl and Susan aren't watching over them, Leo takes Emily's things and they begin to fight again. Libby who is trying to study can't stand much of the noise and says that she is going to the pub. At the pub, Drew is there talking to Lyn and Joe. The three of them are looking at the photo Libby took of Drew and Steph for the wigs donation. Libby comes in and stands next to Drew at the bench. She begins to tell him how he wouldn't believe what the house is like right now. But say does feel sorry for the kids. She comments that her parents are handling it very well- probably because had so much practice, but she does wonder what she would be like with kids. At this point, Drew tells Libby that he is going to leave earlier than he thought, he already has a buyer. Libby, a little concerned about this asks Drew if he's just jumping at the first offer he gets. Drew tells her that he just wants to tie up loose ends and leaves. He also asks Libby why she should care. Later, back at the pub, Libby is about to leave with packets of chips when Drew apologizes. Drew tells her it's probably the stress of it all. Libby tells him that it's Ok and that he'll probably be better back in his home turf. Drew agrees but says it'll be hard leaving though. Libby agrees. Drew asks if the chips are for the kids. Libby tells him they are but if they don't want it she'll have it seeing she always eats chips when doing assignments. Drew says that he remembers that. Libby tells him that she has to go back to the mad house. At night with the Kennedy's, Susan is about to tell a story to Leo and Emily before they go to sleep, when Libby comes into the door. She has her back faced to them and Leo throws a pillow hard at her. It surprises her and she turns around saying 'I can go out again if you want.' Later on the night, Susan is just about finished telling the story to Leo and Emily. Libby is just sitting there watching. Karl takes Leo back to the room when Emily says that she wants to hear it again. Susan asks Libby if she'll like to do the honours. Libby tells her mum that she's not good with kids. Susan suggests that she have go a with it. Libby tells Susan maybe next time, she points at Emily who is already asleep. Susan takes Emily back into the room and Libby just looks on. The next morning, Libby is once again trying to do her work. Leo is at the piano not doing anything. Susan comes to talk to him and plays the piano but he just leaves. Lyn comes in the door and talks to Susan for a little while before the both of them goes out of the house. As soon as they left, Leo begins to play the piano and it's horrible! Libby stops doing her work because with the noise going on she won't be able to concentrate. At the Scully's, Steph, Dione and Tess has just came back from their camping trip and is about to tell Joe and Lyn about the goss on the guy there when Drew comes. He just came to return something to Steph. Steph talks to him for a little but he wants to go, until Joe suggest that Drew come in and listen to the girls' story. Drew agrees and goes into the house. Later at the Scully's, Steph is laying it thick on about what a spunk the guy at the camp was. Drew thanks Lyn for the drink and leaves. Steph just looks at her mother like she didn't believe a single word she said. At the Kennedy's Karl has to leave for the surgery leaving Libby with both the kids. Libby doesn't really like the idea and tells Karl to comes back soon. After Karl leaves, Libby asks Emily what she wants to do. She talks to her in a very childish way but everything she suggests Emily won't say a thing. Libby asks Leo what's wrong with his sister and Leo just tells him that she wants her mum. Libby then explains to Emily that her mother is with her dad who's sick and as soon as her dad is better, her mother will comes back to her straight away. Later at the Kennedy's, Libby has just finished reading a story to Emily but she's still upset. Leo tells Libby that Emily likes sitting in the car. Libby asks if that would cheer her up and tells them that they are going for a drive. Then someone knocks on the door. It's Drew. Drew comes in and asks Libby if Emily would like to see the fairy garden. Emily nods at the idea and that they'll go after the drive, but Leo doesn't want to go in the car. Libby tells him that she can't leave him by himself. Drew suggests that he can look after him. Libby thanks him for that and she really appreciate it. Libby picks Emily up and Drew opens the door for them. Libby thanks him again and leaves. Drew is alone at the Kennedy's with Leo who is throwing everything around. Drew suggests that he give it a rest for a while and read this book. Leo takes the book and throws it. He then jumps up and down saying that he has won the gold medal at the Olympics. Drew realizes that he wants to be a Olympian- a shot putter. Drew then suggests that they go to the backyard and find a ball to play with. Leo agrees and they leave. At the coffee shop, Susan is there when Libby comes in carrying Emily after their drive. Both of them seems pretty happy. Libby gets something for Emily to eat. Susan comments that she seem to be managing pretty well. Libby tells Susan that Emily has a thing for her hair, Susan sees that Emily has a thing for her and tells Libby. Emily begins to play with Libby's hair, with these little ribbons she picked out for her. Susan asks where Leo is and Libby tells her that he's with Drew. Susan says that it was a good idea to leave Leo with Drew. Karl comes into the coffee shop and Susan leaves to talk to him. She tells Karl not to worry about the kids and Libby, it seemed as though Libby and Drew has everything under control. Back at the Kennedy's, Drew and Leo are back inside getting a drink from playing outside. Leo sits down at the dinner table looking pretty upset, Drew asks him what's wrong. Leo tells him that he's dad is sick. Drew assures him not to worry about it. He's dad has doctors looking after him as well as [Leo's] mother. He tells Leo that he's not the only one, he misses his parents too. Leo asks where are his parents and Drew tells him that they are in Oakey and he's going back there soon. Leo concludes that Drew lives at the Kennedy's. Drew tells him that he doesn't but he used to spend a lot of time him [at the Kennedy's]. Leo asks Drew if he's Libby's boyfriend. Drew thinks for a while before replying saying he's just a family friend. At the pub, Susan is talking about Libby to Karl. She tells him that Libby is having such a lovely time playing with Emily and seeing them playing together is making Susan quite sad. Later on the day, Libby comes back home to the Kennedy's with Emily. She comes in the door asking what's Drew and Leo been up to. Drew turns his head towards her and starts laughing at him. Libby asks him what's so funny and Drew points to his hair. Libby realizes and laughs, telling them that Emily did it for her. Libby asks how was Leo and Drew tells him that they played a little at the back. Libby comments that they're good with the kid thing. Drew agrees and says it probably comes from having younger brothers and sisters. Drew looks at Libby and she agrees. Later, Drew is playing with Leo and Libby is making a sandwich with Emily when Drew has to go. He tells them that there's a lot of things he has to do back home- it's amazing all the things you collect over the years. Libby agrees and tells Drew that it's funny because it only seemed like yesterday he came into town. Drew tells her two years, two months, one week. Drew is about to leave when Leo says he wants to play Olympics. Drew tells him that he can't but that Libby has special sporting power so if he asks nicely, she might play with him. Drew tells Libby that Leo is a future Olympian and leaves. When Susan and Karl comes back home they are surprised that there aren't any flying objects around. Libby is looking on as Leo and Emily draw pictures. Libby tells Susan that Drew is so great with the kids and that he's a natural. Karl asks who wants to feed Cassie (sheep) some biscuits. Leo argues that sheep doesn't eat biscuits. Karl says they do and that he'll prove it. Leo and Emily goes outside with Susan and Karl leaving Libby by herself. She picks up the drawings Leo did and looks at them. One of them is Drew- she looks at this and begins to smile. That night, Libby goes to the pub to get something for Karl. Libby bumps into Drew and tells him that she needs time out. Drew just looks at her and asks who is she trying to kid, she couldn't get enough of them. Libby admits to it and comments to Drew that he had a good time with them too. Drew tells her that what he doesn't understand is that, they have fun, they work well together but she refuse to admit it. He says that with or without kids they can have a wonderful life together. They both know it but the sad thing is that she won't admit it. Drew leaves. Back at the Kennedy's, everyone is asleep and Libby is sitting at on the couch looking at two of the kid's toys. One of them is a fairy and the other is a bear. They have been put together like they are hugging and kissing. Libby looks at this and them separates the two. Susan comes out and sees that Libby is still awake. Libby tells Susan that she's just packing up. Susan goes back to bed. Libby looks at the toys again and puts them back together like how they were before- hugging and kissing. Early next morning at the Kennedy's, Libby is packing lunch and Susan is looking for her things. Libby, Karl, Leo and Emily are going to the zoo. Libby tells them that she's looking forward to it seeing that she hasn't been for ages. Libby tells Susan and Karl about what Emily told her- the sound elephants apparently make. Libby demonstrates it and says that it's so cute. At that point, Karl's beeper goes off and he see it as a bad sign, it's work. Later, Karl leaves for work and Libby tells the kids that they better get going. The kids just watches Dahl and doesn't respond. Libby then pretends to be a big grizzly bear, talks in a rusty low and chases Leo and Emily around the run. Someone knocks on the door and Leo answers it, while Libby continues to chase Emily. It's Drew and he laughs when he sees this. Drew suggests to Libby that she should take something for that thought of hers. Libby laughs and say that they are going to the zoo. Drew came to the Kennedy's to give Leo a medal. He tells Libby that he found it yesterday while cleaning up. Drew tells her that that solicitor is doing the contract right now. Libby hadn't realize he already had an actual buyer. Drew tells him that Libby's probably met the guy before, he's a good mechanic and better than himself. Libby doubts this. Drew is about to leave when Leo suggests that Drew go to the zoo with them. Libby says to Leo that Drew has a lot to do that day. Drew apologizes and says he can't go and leaves. After Drew goes Leo asks Libby why Drew can't go with them. Libby just looks at him.
Drew is at the garage when Dug arrives. He is there to sign the contract but Drew wants Lou there when signing so Dug suggests he come back later that evening around 7:30pm. Drew agrees. Later when Lou comes back to the garage, Drew tells him about Dug and Lou complains a little why they had to sign so soon, Drew just tells him that he¡¦s leaving of course. Libby and Susan are parked opposite the garage at the Grease Monkeys. Libby is bugging her mother to get a burger because she¡¦s starving even though Susan tells her that she could eat at the coffee shop, where they are meeting Karl. Susan sees Drew at the garage working. Susan suddenly says to Libby that there¡¦s something wrong with the car- a light keeps flashing- and suggests to Libby that she go and ask Drew to have a look at it. Libby isn¡¦t too sure about this but Susan pushes her to and in the end she agrees to go, but after she gets her burger. Susan
waits outside Grease Monkeys with Libby¡¦s burger as she goes across to see
Drew. Drew is working on a car and doesn¡¦t hear Libby the first time she
called his name. When she called him the second time, he bangs his head hard on
the boot of the car when he gets up. Like a natural reaction, Libby puts her
hand on Drew¡¦s head and his hand on hers. Libby then apologizes about it. Drew
told her that, that hadn¡¦t happen for quite a while and not to worry about it.
Libby tells Drew about what¡¦s wrong with the car but Drew says he can¡¦t look
at it that day, but to drop it in tomorrow. It is awkward between the two and
Libby notices the car Drew is working on and asks if it¡¦s a formal car. Drew
tells her it¡¦s a wedding car. The silence and awkwardness is back, then Libby
tells Drew that she better get going, her mother is holding her burger. Back
at the Kennedy¡¦s, Susan is asking Libby about what happened at the garage.
Libby just tells her that she went in, asked about the car and came back out,
but not before causing some harm to him. Susan asks about this and Libby tells
her that Drew hit his head on the boot when he heard her voice. Susan smiles a
little about it and says that she obviously still have a profound effect on him.
At this point, Karl interrupts and tells them to listen- no kids! Susan asks if
he misses them and he tells her yes and no. She tells them she misses them and
asks Libby if she does. Libby says yes, in a way. Susan then mentions how Drew
liked them. Libby makes a passing comment about Drew which gets Susan annoyed.
This leads her to let out how she feels about the break up even though Karl
tries to stop her. Susan snaps at Libby and tells her that she¡¦s not going to
just stand there and watch her (Libby) throw away her happiness because of a
false sense of pride. What Susan said to Libby was spot on and Libby doesn¡¦t
say anything. That
night at the Kennedy¡¦s, the tension between Libby and Susan is still there.
They don¡¦t say much to each other and Karl is trying to strike conversations
with them. They are trying to decide which movie to see but it only seems as
though Karl is the only one who¡¦s really there. Later on that night, Libby is
sitting on the couch reading a magazine while Susan and Karl talk about the wig
fundraising. For no reason, Karl kisses Susan and Libby begins to look at them
as Karl tells Susan about his love and affection. Libby looks very thoughtful
throughout all this and sees how much in love her parents still are. All of a
sudden she puts the magazine down, gets up, runs to the door and takes the car
keys. Susan and Karl asks her where she¡¦s going but she just tells them she
needs to do something and leaves without saying anything else. Libby
is driving to the garage when Dug arrives. He chats a little to Drew and Lou
about his ideas for new plans on the garage. The are set to sign the contract
when Libby arrives at the garage. She gets out and runs towards it. Just as Dug
is about to sign the contract Libby gets inside and tells him to stop and not to
sign it. Libby takes Drew outside the garage for a talk. Libby tells Drew that
he can¡¦t go, but Drew tells her that he needs a reason. Libby gives him some
reasons, but not good ones until Drew asked for a ¡¥good reason.¡¦ Libby asks
Drew if he¡¦ll stay for her and tells him that she loves him. Drew doesn¡¦t
say anything and Libby apologizes thinking she¡¦s made a mistake and is about
to leave when Drew stops her. Drew smiles a little and tells her to ¡¥say it
again.¡¦ Libby does. They are laughing and hugging when Lou comes out to see
what is going on. When Lou sees them together he walks away again. Libby and
Drew sees this and laughs even more before they share a kiss. Meanwhile
back at home, Susan is concerned about where Libby ran off to back Karl just
tells her not to worry about it. Back at the garage, Dug has left, and Lou is
extremely happy that Drew is staying. Lou suggests that this calls for a
celebration and he will meet Drew and Libby at the pub later. Lou leaves and
Drew tells Libby that she really put him through in the last months it had been
like hell. And if she changes her mind again in a few months then he just
can¡¦t hang around anymore. Libby smiles and tells Drew that she¡¦s never felt
any differently. Drew asks why they had to break up and Libby tells her it¡¦s
because of the accident and how she knew that he really wanted to her children.
She didn¡¦t believe that she could really make him happy and in time he
wouldn¡¦t resent her. Drew tells her that he didn¡¦t love her because of what
she could give him, he loved her because she¡¦s beautiful, she¡¦s smart,
she¡¦s stubborn¡K and she could make a quilt if her life depended on it. Libby
and Drew laugh at this and they hug. At
the Kennedy¡¦s, Susan is cleaning the dishes and Karl is getting a jacket for
the movies when Libby comes back with Drew. Libby appeared a little upset and
Susan looks at her expecting an answer. Drew then puts his arms around Libby and
vice versa. They smile and Libby tells her mother ¡§it¡¦s just us.¡¨ Susan
realizes that they are back together and is in shock. Susan runs to hug Libby
and they¡¦re back to being ¡¥one happy family.¡¦ The celebration moves to the
pub and Susan still can¡¦t believe it¡¦s true and is so happy. Lou says she
should be relieved, their relationship is like the tragedy of the millennium.
Still, Susan is glad Drew is almost back in the family and claims that Libby
went a little mad for a while. Susan asks Drew if it means he is definitely
staying. Libby puts her arms around Drew in a ¡¥you can¡¦t go¡¦ motion and
Drew tells them it doesn¡¦t look as though he has a choice. Steph and Dione
comes into the pub and straight away Steph sees Libby and Drew back together,
she is shocked. Dione doesn¡¦t see them until Susan and Karl points. She, too,
is shocked. They ask Libby and Drew when did it all happen. And Libby tells them
about half an hour ago. Dione is extremely happy for them while although Steph
is, she is really upset at the same time. Later
at the pub, Dione, Libby and Steph are sitting at the table and Dione is asking
Libby when is the wedding. Libby asks Dione to give them a chance! Dione tells
Libby that she should do it as soon as possible- there¡¦s not a lot of good men
out there. She asks Steph for her opinion but Steph wasn¡¦t listening, she
wasn¡¦t really there. Her mind was somewhere else. Steph gets up and almost
bumps into Drew. It¡¦s a little awkward between the two but Drew apologizes to
Steph for having to be dragged into the celebration. Steph just tells him that
he has been so unhappy without Libby, and she sees it now. She tells Drew that
she¡¦s really happy for him. The
celebration moves back to the Kennedy¡¦s and Libby is telling them that her
instincts told her to stop him from signing but when she got there, she had no
idea what to say. When Karl asks if anyone wants coffee, Steph decides it¡¦s
time to leave. Libby tries to get her to stay but she says she¡¦s tired and
Drew said to just let her go. After Steph left, Libby sees that there¡¦s
something wrong and follows her to the Scully¡¦s. Libby asks Steph if she¡¦s
alright, and obviously she¡¦s not. Steph just tells her it¡¦s work and that
Libby should go back to Drew where she belongs. Libby tells Steph that it¡¦s
scary how close she came to losing him. Steph says to Libby that she never
thought that was going to happen, it was written in the stars. Libby just wants
everything to be back to how it was before and Steph tells her that they are.
She¡¦s happy for her and she should go back to Drew and celebrate, he will be
missing her. Later
at the Kennedy¡¦s, Libby is sitting on Drew and Dione doesn¡¦t want to leave
but Karl tells her about the wig promotion the next day and so she leaves seeing
it¡¦s already so late. Susan and Karl goes to bed leaving Libby and Drew by
themselves. Libby tells him that they official now but Drew tells her not quite.
They get up and Drew tells her there¡¦s still place to go. He asks Libby to
wrap up and get a change of clothes. Libby asks Drew where they¡¦ll be going
now. Drew tells her it¡¦s a surprise. Libby bugs Drew to tell her but he
doesn¡¦t. He asks her how far she¡¦ll follow him, and Libby tells him to try
her. Dione
decides to crash at the Scully¡¦s because it¡¦s so last. She talks to Steph
about Libby and Drew- that they are so in love but if Libby hadn¡¦t stop Drew,
they would have gone separate paths in life. They would have been happy but at
the same time would have had this feeling that they missed their one true love
of their life. She tells Steph that isn¡¦t so incredible that in a few hours
your life can completely change. Steph isn¡¦t really listening to Dione and
Dione realizes this and asks her what¡¦s wrong. Steph just tells her it¡¦s
nothing. Libby and Drew are in the middle of nowhere, snuggled under a blanket watching the moon and stars. Libby tells Drew that when she was little, the thought of forever used to scare her but now she¡¦s working on it. Drew asks Libby what about them and Libby tells him that she doesn¡¦t want to talk about them now, she just wants to be there. Drew tells her that he¡¦s not like that, he needs her word. Libby asks Drew what he wants her to say and Drew tells her that they¡¦re in it for the long haul. Libby says they are. Then Drew points up to the sky at a group of stars called the ¡§Jewel Box.¡¨ Libby can¡¦t see anything. Then Drew pretends to be surprised and says that on is falling. Libby is oblivious to the whole thing and is still looking for the cluster. It was only until Drew ¡§caught¡¨ the star did Libby realize it was the engagement ring. They laugh as Drew puts it back on her finger. Back at the Kennedy¡¦s, Susan hasn¡¦t been able to sleep and she sees a note on the bench. It said that Libby and Drew had gone to grandpa Tom¡¦s. Susan smiles at this and Karl comes out realizing they have gone to return the feather. He tells Susan that Tom will be over the moon being woken up at this hour.
Libby and Drew have just arrived back to Ramsay Street and is parked outside the Scully's and Kennedy's. Libby puts her arms around Drew and they begin to kiss when Steph walks out and stops when she sees them. Drew and Libby then sees her and Libby asks her about where she's going and tells her briefly about their trip before Steph gets ready to leave again for work. Libby goes back to Drew and they continue to kiss. Steph sees them through her rear mirror and it upset, then she drives off. Libby and Drew walks towards the Kennedy's and Libby talks to Drew briefly before going in. Libby tells Drew how good it is to come home as a couple. When they get into the house, Libby is surprised to see Billy's things in boxes all over the floor and table. Later Libby goes to see Susan and Karl at the coffee shop. They talk about the robbery and that Drew and Lou, especially Lou has lost so much. Susan asks Libby how the trip was and Libby smiles and says it was great. Libby asks her parents what they were doing with Billy's room and Karl tells her that they are going to use his room or something but they don't know what yet. Meanwhile back at home, Drew and Lou are going through the things Patsy's partner took and their losses. Back at the coffee shop, Libby is talking with Madge about the robbery before Steph comes in. Libby suggests Steph join her for lunch but Steph couldn't stay because of work. Libby suggest to Steph to meet up after her work. At first Steph said she can't but Libby tells her that she has to tell someone about what's happening with Drew and the Steph agreed that Libby comes to her place that night. At Drew's, Libby is there with him and Drew is filling out the insurance form. He isn't sure whether to put down tolls because that's suppose to be covered by the garage. Libby goes to ask Lou but she when she sees Lou talking to Lolly about Patsy she leaves and tells Drew just to put it down, just in case it's fine. When Michelle comes in to talk to Lou, Libby gets Lolly to go over to Drew to show him how she signs her name. Michelle only came briefly and when she leaves Lou gets Lolly to go and have a bath leaving Libby and Drew alone. Drew suggests that Libby join him for dinner but Libby tells Drew that she has plans with Steph. Although Drew says that they've only gotten back Libby tells him that she has lots to talk to Steph about. That night, Steph is considering to cancel her night with Libby but Lyn tells her that she can't keep avoiding Libby if she wants to be her friend. She has to accept the way things are. Steph tells her mother that she wants to be happy for Libby and Drew and that she is trying. Libby soon arrives at the Scully's and gives Steph the photos of her trip with Drew at grandpa Tom's. Later back at the Scully's, Libby is talking to Steph about the wedding while having dinner. She doesn't know what to tell everyone about the wedding considering it's back on but they've already returned the presents! Libby also tells Steph that this time around she can't wait for the wedding. Drew knocks on the door and comes into the Scully's getting some cutlery since they were stolen as well. Libby tells Drew that she's been boring Steph about what a wonderful and romantic guy he is. Drew tells Steph not to believe a word she said. Just before Drew leaves, Libby beckons with her finger and Drew bends down and kisses her before leaving. Steph then asks Libby about the wedding and Libby says that nothing is decided except that Steph is still her bridesmaid. At first although Steph tries to tell Libby she can't be her bridesmaid Libby doesn't listen and thinks Steph will be her bridesmaid. It's until Steph tells her that even though she's her best friend if she misses her wedding it's not going to ruin the day that Libby realizes something is wrong. Although Steph tells her it's nothing Libby comments that nothing been the same since the accident and she wants the truth about what's wrong now. Steph insists to Libby that the only thing bothering her is her work and she's had enough of it. Libby is upset that Steph isn't going to be at the wedding but Steph assures her that lots of her friends will be thrilled to be the bridesmaid. Libby asks if there's nothing wrong between her and Drew and Steph says no, he's her best mate and so is she. Libby isn't still quite sure about Steph's decision to go traveling now and miss the wedding, but she lets it go for now. Later Libby and Steph are talking about her travel plans when Toadie comes to visit. Libby leaves and Toadie asks Steph how she's holding up. Steph tells him that she's happy for them but won't be at the wedding because of her travel plans. Toadie doesn't buy into it but Steph says she doesn't care. All that matter is if she can fool Libby. The next morning Libby is at Drew's and Drew is asking about how she went with Steph last night. Libby still doesn't understand why Steph can't put her trip off for a while and go to the wedding. Libby tells Drew that something isn't right with Steph and asks Drew if he could talk to her. Drew isn't sure about this but in the end he agrees to. When Drew arrived at the Scully's, Steph is surprised to see him at the door. She doesn't really want to talk and says she's late for work, but Drew says it'll just take a minute. Drew tells her that Libby is upset she won't be at the wedding and even though he understands why she doesn't want to be there, it'll mean a lot to him and Libby if she reconsiders her decision. Later at the coffee shop, Steph joins Libby and tells Libby that she's changed her mind, and if she still wants her to be her bridesmaid, she'll do it. Libby is really happy about this and agrees for Steph to be her bridesmaid. Libby tells her she doesn't know the date yet but it'll be soon. That night at the Kennedy's, Libby and Drew are on the computer deciding where to go for their honeymoon. They agree to have a look into Thailand. Libby tells Drew that Steph has changed her mind and she's happy. Libby tells him that everything's fine and perfect now, all their problems are solved. They're both content with what is happening.
Libby and Drew are at the pub, Libby is trying to tell Drew about what the bridesmaid is going to wear but Drew doesn't seem to be listening. Lance interrupts them, outraged by what Libby had written about him in the newspaper. Libby doesn't know what's wrong with it and Drew tells him to calm down and he does eventually leave, leaving Libby looking a little guilty. Later that night at the Kennedy's, Libby is talking about Lance and she's telling them that she really thought she'd like the article. Karl thinks that he's gone nuts but Susan thinks that it is very sweet. Susan and Karl begin to argue and eventually Susan leaves the room. Karl tells Drew that he's lucky that Libby takes after him but Libby doesn't think she does, even though Drew thinks she does a little Libby and Drew pops into Dione and Tess' place where they are having a party. Libby asks Toadie about Lance because she's worried about him but Toadie assures her that Lance will be fine. Steph is at the party with Drew and Libby but isn't looking very comfortable. Dione asks Libby if she's just going to have the one bridesmaid and if Steph has ever been one before. Steph says she hasn't and Dione tells her that it's so much fun, but Steph doesn't look as though she's going to enjoy herself. Early next morning, Libby is woken up by her father's singing and Susan and Karl continue to bicker about the spare room but this time Libby sides with Susan. Later at the coffee shop, Libby and Drew are getting ready to go on a picnic when Madge gives them a basket of food. Libby suggests Steph come along but she decides not to. Tess comes into the coffee shop after Libby and Drew leaves and sees Steph looking at ads for jobs. Steph tells her that maybe it's time for her to move out. Tess is surprised by all this and asks Steph why. Steph tells her that's it's because of her work and that the house is overcrowding. Eventually, Steph tells her that there is a guy but it wouldn't work out. Plus seeing Libby and Drew together makes it worse. Tess asks her if she's known him for long but Steph says not really. Tess guesses that it's Drew Kirk and she was right At the park, Libby and Drew are having a picnic and a pretty good time. They are discussing about setting a date for the wedding and they decide to have the same reception place. Libby tells Drew that they might have to wait because of the short notice but Drew tells Libby that he doesn't want to wait anymore, they've waited for so long already. Steph and Tess goes back into the Scully's and she is telling Tess why she can't be the bridesmaid but she doesn't know how to pull out without rising questions. This is why she thought of the idea of leaving, because then maybe she won't be in time for the wedding. Steph also tells Tess that there's no other way seeing she can't just go up to Libby and say she's in love with Drew. Tess tells Steph that running away won't solve the problem but Steph tells her at least it's not in her face. She tells Tess that even though she looks like the same old Steph, inside she feels as though it's tearing her apart. Libby is back home and talking to Susan about the picnic. Libby tells Susan about their problem- whether to wait for the wedding or has it as soon as possible. Susan suggests that they should compromise but Libby doesn't see why they can't just wait for another month seeing they've already waited for so long. Libby tells Susan that Drew just want to get the wedding over and done with, he doesn't care about the details. Susan just tells Libby that Drew's sees it as a big picture. Later, back at the Kennedy's Libby comes back out of her room and tells Susan that she has won. She is going to talk to Drew about the wedding and work with what Drew has in mind. This means that the wedding could be next week. Susan tells her that compromising means that they both win and lose some, not just Drew winning all. Libby tells Susan that at the moment she doesn't want to argue with Drew, she put him through enough already. Susan tells her then it isn't compromising, it's capitulation. Libby doesn't care what it is, the important thing is that they both want to get married. Meanwhile, at the pub, Drew is talking to Karl about the problem. Karl wants to stay out of it but Drew wants Karl to support him. Karl tells him that if he supports him, then Susan supports Libby, who will win? Of course, it would be Susan and Libby. Karl doesn't want another argument to arise at the moment. Besides, he tells Drew that they are big enough, bad enough and ugly enough to make their own decisions. Karl also tells Drew that he has got to remember he is marrying into a stubborn family. |
