April 9th- 13th,
2001
At the flat, Drew is preparing the dinner
and Libby is sort of helping him out but ends up talking to Steph about Larry
etc. Steph is telling Libby her troubles- that although she agrees to help Larry
out, her parents don't know about his release yet. Later at the flat, Steph
comments on how well Libby and Drew have settled into domestic bliss. Libby
agrees and says it's never going to change- Drew will always be preparing
dinner. Drew tells Steph that he's just going through a faze where he thinks
he's being appreciated. Steph, then, tells Libby and Drew that Flick and Joel
are moving in together. Libby says that it won't work but Drew thinks otherwise-
it could work. He reasons that maybe Flick and Joel really do love each other.
Steph bursts out laughing along with Libby because of the way he was reasoning
for himself yet she could not take him seriously because of the apron he's
wearing. Steph's phone ring and she answers it, she's needed at the pub. Just as
Steph is about to leave, Libby and Drew's phone rings. Libby picks it up and
it's Susan. She tells Libby that Madge has just died, then Libby tells Drew and
Steph.
That night, at the Kennedy's, Libby and
Drew have just visited Harold. Both of them are still in shock. Libby and Drew
brought dinner over and along with Susan, Karl and Darcy they make a toast- to
Madge. Later, at the dinner table, Karl asks Drew if he's decided whether to go
to England for Mal's wedding or not. Drew isn't sure because he doesn't think
Lou can cope right now on his own. Libby comments on how weird the coffee shop
will be without Madge. Karl tells them that he doesn't know how Harold can cope
because he knows that he wouldn't be able to. Susan responds telling him that he
could and he'll have to. Libby takes Drew's hand and tells him that she loves
him.
A few days later, Libby and Drew have
just arrived back at their flat after Madge's funeral. It's obviously clear that
Libby has been crying, Drew asks her if she's alright but she doesn't know. Drew
then asks her if she's packed yet. Libby tells him that she hasn't even thought
about that and that she's going to miss him. Drew tells her he's going to miss
her too, things are too perfect for her to leave now. Libby agrees. The strange
neighbour from above begins to start drumming and Libby and Drew decides to
leave for the pub.
At the pub, Libby and Drew are playing
darts and brain-storming ways to stop the neighbour from drumming them out of
their house. Libby suggest that they fight fire with fire. They could put on one
of Drew's Slayer CD on full blast and leave the house for the night. Drew tells
Libby that it would work better with her Toe-doe CD. Libby then suggests that
maybe they could kill him with kindness. You could catch more flies with honey
than vinegar.
Later at the pub, Libby and Drew are
talking to Matt who introduces then to his father, Evan. Drew tells Evan that
Libby is his wife. Libby tells him that it couldn't be more obvious that they
are newly weds. When she finds out that Evan is moving into no.32 she realizes
that he is the new math teacher. Evan is surprised that his reputation proceed
him. Libby tells him that her mother is Susan Kennedy who lives 2 doors from
him. Evan comment that it's a small world here. Drew tells him it gets smaller.
Lou is his boss, well partner (as Libby points out), for the garage.
Back at the flat, Libby runs into the
door and shuts it. Drew is on the couch with a magazine. Libby has just left a
note under the neighbours door inviting him over. Drew isn't positive that the
strategy would work. Libby wants Drew to admit that he thinks it's a bad idea.
Drew asks Libby if he said that it wouldn't work, would she slap him? Libby says
that she wouldn't and so therefore Drew replies "then no." Libby
starts attacking Drew and instead of slapping him she continues to punch him.
After the two of them have calmed down, Libby asks Drew what he was doing. Drew
tells her he was reading an article on an actress who has recently just adopted
a baby from Sudan. Libby joins Drew and reads it.
Later, the two of them discuss the
situation of adopting a baby from overseas. Drew says that it's expensive but
they could if they wanted to. Libby tells him that they haven't even qualified
to adopt because they haven't been married long enough. Libby is fine about that
because she feels that they haven't been married long enough to even enjoy each
other. They agree that they will look into it but that's about it. A note is
passed under their door and Libby goes to get it. Drew chases Libby around the
flat when she refuses to tell him what's on the note. Eventually Libby does and
tells Drew it looks like he's going to be with the neighbour along because on
the note, he can only make it to dinner next week and Libby won't be there.
Libby apologizes to Drew and tells him to feel free to hate her. Drew asks Libby
if he can feel free to miss her like crazy, Libby of course says to feel very
free.
