Karl is
clearly shocked by what Drew had told him and even suggests that the testing
could have been wrong. Drew knows this isn¡¦t the case because they did the
test 3 times. Karl becomes increasingly worried and wants to get in contact with
Libby but Drew tells him otherwise because he wasn¡¦t suppose to tell anyone.
Before Karl can say anything Libby arrives home. She sees the concerned look on
Karl¡¦s face and realizes that Drew must have told her father about her
pregnancy. Libby becomes increasingly annoyed at Karl¡¦s concern so Karl
decides the leave the couple alone. When Karl leaves the flat, Libby takes out
her anger on Drew accusing him of betraying her trust. Drew tells Libby that
he¡¦s not used to lying but this just made Libby angrier At the
Kennedy¡¦s, Karl has just told Susan the news and is also surprised. She
suggests that she should do over there to see how Libby¡¦s going, but Karl
tells her not to as Libby made it perfectly clear they weren¡¦t welcomed and
now Drew is worried that he might have betrayed Libby. And also the fact that he
might lose her if she decides to go along with the pregnancy. Later, back at the
Kennedy¡¦s Susan decides that she is going to see if Libby is alright. Karl
tells her not to and although at first Susan was being adamant about her
decision, Karl finally convinces her otherwise. At the
flat, Libby comes out of the bedroom after she calmed down and apologizes to
Drew for getting angry. He was just worried and so was her father. Drew asks
Libby if she¡¦s worried about the dangers but Libby just tell him not anymore.
She also tells him that she loves living with him but sometimes just has to get
back to the quietness of the nature. Drew tells her that he knows what she
means. Libby tells Drew that she¡¦s not going to be silly about the baby and
will make an appointment to see the doctor in the morning. Before going to bed
that night, Libby asks Drew how it feels at the thought of being a father in 7
months time. She tells Drew that she knows it¡¦s hard for him to understand but
he has to trust her that everything is going to be fine Next
morning, at the Kennedy¡¦s, Karl and Susan are still worried about Libby. Susan
thinks that someone should keep an eye on Libby, but Karl just tells her that
she¡¦s fine. Karl has to leave for the football match and tells Susan not to go
anywhere. By Susan expression, it is clear that she will go visit Libby. Susan,
indeed, does go visit Libby. Libby apologizes for not telling Susan about her
pregnancy. Drew tells Susan that they¡¦ve got an appointment with the doctor
and that they¡¦ll tell her the outcome as soon as they come back. Libby and
Drew have visited the doctor and by the expression of both their faces, it¡¦s
clear that it wasn¡¦t good news at all. They get into the car and Drew, seeing
that Libby was clearly upset, hugs her. Later, Libby and Drew are sitting on a
bench in the park. Drew assumes that Libby is going to have a termination tells
Libby that he¡¦ll be with her the whole way, but Libby tells him that she¡¦s
going to have the baby. There¡¦s at least a 50% chance that the pregnancy can
go along ok. Drew refuses to go along with this one because there¡¦s an equal
chance something could go wrong. Libby tells Drew that when there¡¦s life,
there¡¦s hope, the baby and her still have a chance. Drew argues that the
chances aren¡¦t great. Libby doesn¡¦t care, she¡¦s going to have the baby no
matter what Libby and
Drew visit Karl and Susan to tell them her decision. Both Karl and Susan are
speechless and think Libby is out of her mind. Karl points out the dangers but
Libby suggests that it might be perfectly fine. She¡¦s already thought about it
and isn¡¦t going to change her mind about it. Libby becomes more frustrated
when Karl and Susan refuse to support her. She leaves the house with Drew, who
obviously doesn¡¦t get much say in this. Later at the Kennedy¡¦s, Karl and
Susan continues to discuss the situation. Karl thinks that they should just
remain optimistic even though it¡¦s hard to hide concern when Libby¡¦s putting
her life at risk. Susan is terrified at the thought yet the irony is that she
would love to have a grandchild. At the
flat, Libby is a little annoyed that her parents didn¡¦t show any support. Drew
asks her to look at it from their point of view but Libby tells him it¡¦s not
about them. Drew argues that so far none of them or him has been included in her
decision. She could wait a few more years when it might be safer. Libby
doesn¡¦t want to because she might not be able to conceive then. She tells him
that they didn¡¦t mean to get pregnant, the baby wants to be born. Susan comes
to visit Libby to apologize, and they leave for a walk. Libby and
Susan go for a walk in the park. Susan is warning Libby that morning sickness
doesn¡¦t only happen in the mornings. And that craving just come and goes.
Libby is glad that she can talk to her mother about the pregnancy but she wishes
Drew will be a little more supportive. Susan tells Libby he¡¦s probably just
worried about losing her. They discuss a little bit about why Libby wants to go
ahead with the pregnancy against all advice. They conclude it as ¡§maternal
instinct¡¨ At night, Libby
is back at the flat when Drew suggests that they see the specialist again. Libby
doesn¡¦t want to. Drew tells Libby that he wants the baby as much as she does.
Libby knows that and she also knows that he¡¦s scared he might lose her. She
tells him not to worry because she¡¦s going to be ok. She asks him to say
it¡¦s ok to go through with the pregnancy. After a moment of thought Drew tells
Libby it¡¦s Ok. Libby really appreciates this and Drew being to get excited.
However he sets some conditions such as no late nights, no stress, no running
around etc. Later, back at the flat, Drew and Libby are discussing names. Drew
suggests they go for Clint but Libby tells Drew that there¡¦s no way she¡¦ll
call her child that and besides it might not be a boy. Drew mocks Libby and says
that his instinct and intuition tells him it¡¦s going to be a boy. Libby thinks
otherwise and suggests Jane Austen names. That¡¦s fine with Drew and he beings
to laugh- he can¡¦t believe he¡¦s going to be a dad |
