Lou asks them if they wanted to stay here until they find a place. Libby tells him that they're actually staying with her parents. Lou tells them that it's fine. Besides it's only for a week or so. Lou suggests that since Phil is selling no.32 maybe they could buy it. Drew tells him that it would be 5 yeras before they could buy a house of their own. Drew goes to get some beer while Libby puts the kettle on. Lou is still having trouble with his back and walking. Libby and Drew realize the seriously of his back. Lou sits down and then Libby and Drew offers to stay with him until he gets better. Lou tells him that it's Ok- it's better for him to manage it himself. Everyone has been marvelous.

The next day at the Kennedy's, Libby and Drew are looking in the newspaper for a place to live. Libby is still keen on Eden Hills and finds an ad for it. Drew doesn't think the place is any good, but Libby tells him they should at least still check it out. Susan agrees with Drew- that you do pay a lot more in Eden Hills for a same place near Erinsborough. Karl suggests they find the smallest, dingiest place so when Libby wins the Valkly award, she can write about how she started out in a small, cold place. Drew tells Libby that what Karl is trying to say is that Eden Hills is out of their league.

They begin to talk about what kind of house Libby and Drew wants. Lou asks if they know what house they want. Drew knows perfectly clear. Libby tells him that it's an underestimate- Drew is being very fussy, checking the inside and underside of everything. Lou suggests they should put it up on the garage: 'Mr. Fussy checks everything.'  Lou also tells them that they can't expect to find a decent house first go. Drew and Libby agrees and they said they might have to settle on a flat. Someone knocks on the door and Drew gets it- it's Steph! She welcomes both Libby and Drew back and asks them how was sunny Queensland. They tells them that it was sunny and it was bliss- they got heaps of photos and presents.

Libby takes out something from a bag- they're presents for Tess and Steph. Dione comes back and tells Tess that she is not going to believe who she just bumped into. Richard Hamson- the guy Tess and Dione met at the dating agency. Dione tells her that he's going to come over here later (Tess is attracted to him) Libby begins to ask questions about him. Drew and Libby begins to comment about his car and the way Tess is acting. They come to the conclusion that she must be pretty keen on the guy. The four of them- Dione, Steph, Libby and Drew decides to clear out and leave Tess by herself for Richard when he comes.

She says that the attraction was mutual. Drew comments that it was the same with Libby and him. Libby argues saying that she didn't even notice him when they first met. They all laugh. Dione tells them that the lunch dating gig is great- she'll definitely do it again. It saves time, mistakes- the whole lot. Steph comments that it's something that everyone needs these days.

March 12th- 16th, 2001

Libby and Drew are at the garage and Drew has just given Libby her keys to her new car. Libby is extremely excited to drive it and gets into the car straight away. She asks Steph and Drew whether they would like to go for a drive around the bloke but both are a little too busy- Steph with delivering parts and Drew working on cars. Libby drives off to go flat hunting. Soon after she arrives back at the garage in a rush telling Drew that she has found the perfect flat. Drew closes the garage down temporarily and goes with Libby to check out the flat

It turns out the flat is out of their league, and at the coffee shop they are looking in the newspaper for more flats when Libby's mobile rings. It's the paper and there's an emergency at Erinsborough high. She has been asks to investigate it as a journalist. At the school, Libby finds out that a bomb was planted and it exploded at school. Meanwhile Drew is back at the garage working when Steph rushes up. She has found the perfect flat for Drew and Libby and wants him to go and check it out. Although Libby can not be there to look at the flat, Drew goes with Steph without her.

That night, Drew is at Lou's house packing his things when Libby arrives back. She is excited that she has gotten a front page scoop plus a byline. Drew tells Libby that he has found the perfect flat for them and asks if she wants to go and have a look because he has the keys. Libby drives her new car with Drew to the flat. It's not what Libby expected and she's not all that impressed with it. She tells him that they could do better and that they don't have to sign for the flat straight away. But Drew tells her that he already has and the flat is theirs.

Drew explains himself, telling her that he thought he was doing the right thing because there was another buyer interested. He tries to convince Libby that the flat isn't all that bad and in somewhat way he did. Susan arrives at the flat to take a look. She tells them that the flat has potential. When Drew goes outside to turn on the power Libby tells her mother that she hates the flat. Susan laughs and tells her that the flat is much better than the first one she had with Karl. She remembers that the first time she went to the kitchen cupboard, the handle fell off. Libby tells her mother that she just wants their first place to be special. Susan tells her that it will and in years to come, it will be remembered as her first home she lived in with the person she loves. Drew comes back into the flat with a chair and the light's on. Libby goes to the kitchen and opens a cupboard to get some cloth. But before she can open it, the handle falls off! Both Libby and Susan laugh and tells Drew it's history repeating itself.

Back at Lou's house, Drew is continuing to pack his things. Libby and Susan has a talk when he goes out to get some things. Libby tells her mother that she's excited but a bit sad too. She doesn't know why. It's just being married, moving into her own place and basically being a grown up now. The next day, Libby, Drew and Susan are outside packing things onto a truck. Libby comments that her room is so small with everything cleared out and that she's sort of excited moving out- it feels like she's moving interstate

At the flat, Libby and Drew have almost finished unpacking everything. Just before they go out to get the rest of their furniture, Libby pulls Drew in for a kiss. She tells him it's to apologize for being so grumpy about the flat yesterday. She explains herself and tells him that she told Susan that she just wanted their first house to be special. Her mother kept telling her it will be no matter what. Libby tells Drew that she knows what her mother means now- she can't wait to live there with him. Drew responds to Libby by telling her to listen- there's no doors opening, no interruptions, not even a galah! It's just them. They both are very pleased and excited about this.

19th March- 23rd March, 2001

Just as Drew is walking back to the flat after work, Libby arrives as well in her car. She has gone shopping and Drew helps her to carry it back into the flat. When they arrive at the front door, there is a note there. It tells them to not to park next to the clothe line. Inside the flat, Drew comments that the furniture has been moved and Libby told him she did it. He asks her what was wrong with it before and Libby tells him that she likes to the feeling that there's actually space and hates to be cramped up. Drew puts his arms around Libby, 'cramping' her up as she tries to break free. Drew suggests to Libby that the space might actually be a good dance floor and they begin to sort of dance.

Later that afternoon, the two of them are preparing dinner and Libby is beginning to panic because she was everything perfect for her parents. She can't find matching table napkins and begins to worry. Drew calms her down but then Susan and Karl arrive and Libby begins to panic again. Drew tells her to breathe and to calm down. The couple welcomes Susan and Karl into the house and Libby is surprised when Karl had brought along his 74 grange. He tells her that it would be the right time to drink it because it's a special occasion.

That night, at dinner they talk about how Karl can only cook when he wants to. Libby asks her mother if there's anymore leads to the bombing of the school but there is none. Karl decides this is the right time to pour and drink the wine. Libby isn't sure if it's the right time yet but Karl assures her it is- they've got the food, company and the wine. Drew comments that a second's difference it could all be gone and so they toast to life.

After dinner, Karl and Susan are telling Drew all of Libby's secrets while she claims they're not being fair. They tell Drew that she used to drink bath water from a flannel. Drew tells Libby if she does it again he'll tie her hands behind her back. Libby tells Drew then he'll have to wash her. Drew comments that might not be a bad idea! Susan and Karl decides this is the right time to leave. They thank Libby and Drew for the dinner and leaves. Drew and Libby sits down on the couch and agrees the night went pretty well. Libby tells Drew that she's beginning to like the place and she spoke to the landlord. He told her that if they paint the place themselves, he'd give them a rent reduction. Drew tells her that she's very smart. Libby agrees and asks Drew he didn't marry her for her looks did he? Drew says no and that he married her for father's good taste in wine. They pash even though Libby tells Drew that they've got to do the dishes first. They ignore the dishes totally.

Early next morning, both of them are late for work because they forgot to set the alarm. They are in a rush and Libby is looking for her wallet and Drew his shirt. They finally get everything ready, the dishes are still by the sink and the two of them rushes out of the house to go to the coffee shop for breakfast.

Libby is at home fixing up her work place when Drew comes back. He has brought home a three legged chair and Libby comments that it feels as though she's gone through some time warp. She explains to Drew that it's because her dad used to bring back all these broken furniture but never fixes them. Drew tells Libby a bit of glue should do it. Libby asks Drew when would he have time to fix the chair? She puts her arms around him and he tells her that the chair could wait. They begin to pash when Brain busters come on radio and Libby goes over to listen to it.

After Lance exposed the radio show of corruption, Libby is in a hurry to get an interview with Lance. She apologizes to Drew for rushing out on their first weekend home together but she thinks that this could be the story of the month. She kisses him goodbye and thanks him for being so understanding. Drew tells her that even if he wanted to stop her he wouldn't be able to. After Libby leaves, he continues to fix the chair.

Drew is at home by himself watching the cricket when Steph arrives. She brings over a bean bag for Drew and comments that it was her mother's idea. Drew shows Steph around the place and tells him that it already feels like home. Drew admits that he's pretty happy with everything at the moment. Another person knocks on the door and it's Toadie. He sits down and starts to watch the cricket. He comments that bean bags went out in the 70s. Steph tells them that she's not going to listen to her mother about housing warming ideas ever again. Libby arrives at no.30 looking for a story on Lance. Lance isn't sure after the story she did on him a while ago but after a while he agrees to it.

That night, Libby comes home with her story while Drew is still watching TV. Libby sees the bean bag and asks where he got it from. He tells her that it's a gift from Steph. Libby lies on it and tells him that she likes it but she has to go do her story. She asks him if it's Ok and he tells her that if she can put up with his greasy overalls then he can put up with her flexible work hours. Later that night, Drew has just finished making dinner and Libby has finished  her article. They both sit down and eat. Libby sees what Drew has made and comments whether she could have gotten a better catch. Drew's a master craftsmen as well as a gourmet chef. Drew laughs and tells Libby that he knows that he couldn't. They begin to eat and Libby tells Drew that there's something missing. Drew doesn't seem to think there is. Libby asks Drew to think of something that would complete the picture. Drew tells Libby that it seems pretty complete to him. Libby hints to Drew by saying "pitter patter pitter patter." Drew understands what Libby is saying now but he tells her it's too dangerous. Libby knows that and asks Drew what he thinks of adoption.
