November 6th- November 10th, 2000

Steph decided and had quit her job because she's convinced that she will get the job she applied for. She is walking home with a box of her things when Drew drives past and offers her a lift. Steph tells Drew that she has quit her job and has applied for a new one- out of town. Drew beings to feel guilty and asks Steph if it's because of him. Steph tells him that it's him and Libby. She just finds it hard to be around them. Drew apologizes and drives Steph home. As Steph is about to get out of the car, Drew stops her for a chat. Steph tells Drew that leaving is the only solution she can think of because it's getting harder for her everyday. Steph gets out of the car and bumps into Libby who is pretty happy about finishing her exams. Steph tells Libby that she has quit her job and Steph suggests Libby go into her house and she'll tell her all about it. Before going in, Libby catches up with Drew briefly but Drew has to go back to work.

Later at the garage, Libby visits Drew and tells her about how great it is for Steph about the job. Drew is a little surprised that Libby isn't upset she's leaving but Libby just tells him that it will just mean they'll have to visit often. Libby then tells Drew that she is going to the jeweler to get their wedding rings designed. Drew asks if that might be a bit expensive. Libby just tells him it'll be her wedding present for him. Drew tells Libby that he has a present for her too but he won't say to her what it is, even though Libby tries to get it out of him. Later at the pub, Drew is concerned about Steph leaving and not telling Libby about Steph's feelings. He has a dilemma: Whether to tell Libby about Steph or not, even though he doesn't want to hurt Steph's feelings yet he doesn't like the idea of keeping something from Libby. Lou is telling Drew not to worry about it and asks Drew what he is giving Libby for a wedding present. Drew tells him that he's giving her a car. Just as Lou asks Drew what kind of car he's getting her, Libby comes in. She suspects they are hiding something and asks. Drew asks Libby if he'll keep anything from her and Libby tells him he better not.

At night, Libby and Drew bump into Steph while walking home. Libby's continues to think that there is something wrong with Steph when she seem as though to be avoiding them. In the Kennedy's, Libby and Drew are watching a video which is pretty boring. Libby is still thinking about Steph's attitude and Drew assures her that it's probably because of her work. Libby also gets the feeling that Drew knows more than he's letting on and asks Drew what is wrong with Steph. At first Drew doesn't tell Libby but then he says that there was an awkwardness between him and Steph. Before Drew actually told Libby what it was, Libby figures it out- that Stephanie is in love with him. She is really shocked and she tells him she feels like an idiot. Back at the Kennedy's, Libby is asking Drew why he didn't pick it up earlier because people can just sense it when someone's in love with them. Drew tells her that maybe that's the case but he was looking. Libby is even more surprised when Drew tells her that Toadie knows as well. Libby doesn't understand why he didn't tell her. Libby tells Drew that she wished he had told her because she feels so stupid now. Drew says that he didn't want to ruin the friendship she has with Steph. But now, Libby tells him that things are going to change between them.

Later at the Kennedy's, Drew and Libby are sitting on the table still talking about Steph. Drew asks why Libby is so surprised by it. Libby tells him that Steph is attractive. Drew explains to Libby that, being attractive doesn't matter- plenty of women are attractive- when Libby broke things off, all he thought about was her. Susan and Karl comes back home and senses something is wrong. Drew decides to leave and before he leaves, Libby tells him that she's not mad at him. Steph is putting out the rubbish when she spots Drew outside his house looking up in the sky. She decides to join him but then Drew tells Steph that Libby knows about her feelings. Steph is distressed about Libby knowing and that now Libby will hate her now. Back at the Kennedy's, Libby is telling Susan about her problem with Steph. Libby is upset and concerned about the whole thing. Susan tells Libby to remember that she's the one Drew loves. Libby doesn't know how to act with Steph now and Susan suggests that if she wants to be friends with her then, well, just be friends.

Early next morning, Steph is on her bike ready to leave when she sees Libby coming out of the house and Drew coming out of his. Drew sees Libby and goes up to her. They talk briefly and sees that there's something wrong with Steph's bike. Libby suggests Drew go and fix it after all he is a mechanic. Drew fixes up Steph's bike as Libby waits for Drew and her mum. After Drew fixes up the bike he lets Libby know that he has to go to work. Just as Steph is about to drive off Libby stops her for a little chat. Inside the Kennedy's, Steph tells Libby that she doesn't want to talk about it. There's nothing between her and Drew. Everyone knows that Drew loves her and Steph tells her if she doesn't believe it, she's crazy. Steph is about to leave but then comes back to tell Libby that she doesn't have any competition and to be happy- don't let things get ruined now. Libby later bumps into Drew at the coffee shop and asks Drew why he didn't tell her about bumping into Steph the night before. Drew tells her it's nothing and that's the end of the story but also the beginning of another story.

November 13th- 17th, 2000

Steph is looking for a pen for her uncle Mick when Libby comes into the pub offering her a pen. Libby is in the pub just to buy a bottle of champagne for a celebration. Joe asks what the occasion is and Libby tells him that it's for her and Drew, finally setting a date. She tells them that it is in 8 weeks and they are all surprised at how soon the wedding is going to be. Libby agrees that it's pretty soon and tells them that it's pretty scary how many things they have to organize. Drew is at the garage directly a green beetle car in when Libby comes along. Drew making sure that Libby doesn't see the car goes up to her and asks what the champagne was for. Libby tells him it's to celebrate their official vow swapping dates. Libby asks Drew when he can come to her place to organize wedding plans. Drew tells her that he'll be there soon because there's a few things he has to do. They say their goodbyes and love yous before Libby leaves.

Libby comes back home just as Lyn is about to leave. Lyn tells Libby that the wedding is so exciting and if she ever needs a hand, just ask. Libby thanks her and Lyn leaves. Susan then tells Libby that the bridal shop rang about the bridesmaid dress and asks her if she's still okay about Steph being a bridesmaid. Libby pretends she is fine at first but later tells her mother that she doesn't. She tells her it doesn't feel right but there's nothing she can do so she'll just have to stick with it.

Early next morning, Libby bumps into Steph in the street and asks Steph about going to try on bridesmaid dresses later that day. Steph agrees and Libby leaves. Later that day, Libby and Steph comes back from the bridal shop and are still talking about which dress they like. It is a little awkward but they continue to talk about what to do with their hair and choice of colour when Steph tells Libby that it's not going to work and that she can't be her bridesmaid. Steph knows that Libby feels awkward about the whole thing and so does she. Although Libby wishes things will go back to how they were Steph tells her that it can't. When Lyn comes home, Libby tells Steph that she has to leave. Later, Steph tells her mother that she has pulled out of being bridesmaid.

Drew is at the coffee shop and sees Dione flirting with a guy named Darcy who was buying a chocolate cake for his aunt. Both Drew and Tess pretends that they don't know Dione. Later someone arrives at the Kennedy's doorstep delivering a cake. Libby opens then door and doesn't recognize the person. Susan realize who it was instantly- her nephew. Libby was still unsure at first but soon she realize it was Darcy, her cousin whom he hasn't seen for a few years. The three of them talk about the good old days and about Libby's wedding. Darcy asks Libby about her fiance and she tells him that he's gorgeous and they'll get along like a house on fire. Soon after Drew arrives and is introduced to Darcy, whom he has already seen at the coffee shop. Darcy congratulates him about the wedding before Susan takes Darcy away to see how Mick is going with the spare room

Meanwhile, Libby tells Drew that Steph has pulled out being a bridesmaid and now she's missing one. Drew tells Libby that he shouldn't have become so complicated and Libby agrees. Someone knocks on the door and it's Dione. She's come to visit Libby and she introduces her to Darcy- but they've already met. Dione and Darcy talks briefly and Libby sees that Dione has done her "research" on him and suggests that she come to dinner with them. Dione agrees and goes home to get changed. Drew then asks Libby what about Dione as a bridesmaid. Libby laughs and says she'd rather go single.

That night. at the pub Drew tells Libby that her surprise wedding gift is coming on nicely. Libby tells Drew not to tell her anymore if he's not going to tell her what it is. She also tells him that the wedding ring design will knock his socks off. They go and join Dione, Darcy and Susan for the dinner but Dione soon had to leave because she didn't realize she had friends coming over to her place that night. After Dione leaves Libby comments how disorganized she is but then Drew tells Libby that she is disorganized herself. After dinner, back at the Kennedy's, Susan and Libby realize that Mick had drilled a whole into a painting Dione gave them but they hated it. Susan and Libby are secretly glad about this because it meant they had a reason to throw it away!

November 20th- 24th, 2000

Libby comes home and finds a letter from the accident compensation board saying that she might be eligible for compensation. When Libby hears that Human Nature was in Erinsborough she goes to the Scully's looking for Felicity only to find her not home. Libby chats with Steph briefly about the letter she received while waiting for Flick. Michelle then asks Libby who her bridesmaid will be because she's available. Libby tells Michelle that she is going along with her cousin, Gail. Meanwhile, back at the Kennedy's, Drew is there waiting for Libby and him, Karl and Darcy are getting ready for dinner. Libby arrives home after giving up on waiting for Felicity. Libby mentions the letter to Drew and suggests that she would get a car with the money. Drew tries to convince her otherwise seeing he is giving her a car for her wedding present. Drew suggests that they should use the money for their honeymoon. Darcy tells them that they could probably do both considering the amount of money the board is giving out. Libby is happy and excited about the whole thing while Drew didn't seems all that happy.

At the pub the next day, Libby is looking through the paper about car sales while Drew tries to convince her that the honeymoon would be better and that they should be looking for a place for honeymoon first. Later on the day, Drew is working on Libby's car when she arrives surprising her, calling the car a "bomb." Drew tells Libby that the car's for a customer and asks why it's a bomb. The car is much better than the cars in the paper she was looking at. Drew tries to convince Libby that old cars are much better, but he doesn't succeed. Libby tells Drew that she's never been into V-dubs and leaves. That night at the pub Drew tells Lou about Libby hating the car. It was like a labour of love but now he doesn't have a wedding present for Libby.

Later that night, Drew drives Paul to meet Cheyanne while Libby is at the Deb. ball taking photos. Later Libby pops into the pub and asks Lou if there's anything wrong with Drew. Lou doesn't tell Libby at first but he eventually does. Lou tells Libby that the car he was working for was a wedding present for her. Libby is extremely surprised by the fact that she's getting a car from Drew. She begins to fell really bad and guilty about it. Lou tells her not to worry because Drew will get over it but Libby tells him that he shouldn't have to and leaves to look for Drew.

As the song "He don't love you" by Human Nature plays at the Deb. ball, Drew is driving Paul and Cheyanne to the ball. Libby goes to the garage but it's closed. She looks into the window and sees the green car Drew is giving her and she begins to smile. Libby is still looking for Drew and goes back to the Deb. ball and asks Lyn if she's seen him. At that moment, Drew arrives at the ball and Libby sees him. She kisses him and leads him outside even though Drew doesn't really know what's going on

Libby comes to visit Drew at the garage after taking some photos of Joe with the baby. Libby asks Drew if he's fixing the V-Dub for anyone special. Drew tells her no because it backfired the last time he did that. Libby argues that she loves the car even though at first she was surprised. Now, she loves the car. Drew still doesn't believe her. Libby calls Drew "too compliant" and Drew tells Libby she's lucky that he's patient since Libby keeps insulting him. She argues that she doesn't and that Drew makes her so mad. Drew tells her that it'll be worse after they're married and he calls her 'Kirk.' In turn, Libby calls Drew 'Kennedy.' They suggest that maybe the way to go is if Libby changes her name to Drew's and Drew changes his name to Libby's. Later Libby leaves suggesting they meet up at the pub later.

The night at the pub, Libby brings the wedding ring designs to the pub and meets up with Drew. She suggests that Drew should look at the designs just in case he doesn't like them. But Drew tells her that he doesn't want to see it until the wedding. Even Lou suggests that he should see the ring, but Drew still does not want to. Later on the night, Libby asks if Lou would like to see them. Lou says yes and Libby shows him. Lou is surprised and by the look of his face, it's obvious that it's not the kind of ring anyone would like. Just before Libby and Drew leaves, Lou has a private word with Drew and really suggests that for his own good he should see the ring. Drew still says no.

Drew and Libby are at the garage the next day and they are in Libby's V-dub. Libby is pretending to drive the car, both of them bouncing in it. They have a pretty good time in it, pretending to go to Mt. Kosciusko. Drew asks Libby if the car is to her taste. Libby says yes with a few adjustments such as a CD player, a bar and chandelier. Later Lou comes and asks about what they are doing. Libby asks Lou if he's told Drew about the ring. Lou says no and suggests that Drew should see it over lunch. Libby tells him that it's too late, he's had his chance and now it'll remain secret. They leave for lunch. At the Kennedy's, Libby is on the phone with her mother while Drew eats his lunch. He keeps eyeing on the envelope with the wedding ring designs and when Libby leaves the room to get a phone number for her mother, Drew quickly takes a look at the designs. The rings looks very different and a little Egyptian. It is clearly Drew doesn't like the ring designs

After lunch, Libby and Drew are on the street, about to go their separate ways. They decide to meet at the pub later when Lou comes. After Libby leaves Drew tells Lou that he saw the ring designs and he thinks they are "impossible." He tells Lou that he can't tell Libby, though, because he doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Lou tells Drew that he doesn't have to tell her if he doesn't mind wearing a ring that looks like a dead octopus on his finger.  Later, at the pub, Libby and Drew meet up. Libby tells Drew that the jeweler called and her ring is coming on nicely. She tells Drew that she can't wait for them to start on his ring because he is going to be really surprised. Drew looks on, a little uncomfortable.

Libby is waiting for Drew at the coffee shop when Karl and Susan comes and join her. Soon after, Drew comes and they speak briefly. Karl tells Libby that she has finally shown him the ring and that he would prefer the traditional gold band rather than what Libby had chosen. Before another bicker starts and they start throwing bread rolls, Libby and Drew leaves. Later Drew is helping Lou set up the exhibition when Libby arrives. Lou suggests that this is his chance to own up about the rings. Libby is surprised when Drew says that he has already seen the rings. He apologizes and tells her that before he wanted it to be a surprise but he changed his mind. When Libby asks what he thinks, Drew tells her that it looks interesting. Libby realizes that Drew doesn't like the rings. Drew tells her that the ring would be hard to work in and it might catch things at work. He suggests them ring the jeweler and say they've come up with a new idea. Libby tells Drew that he can't because it's already made and she's already paid for them.

Later that night, Drew is at the exhibition when Libby comes in with some news. She tells him that the jewelry shop was robbed last night and their rings are gone. Libby is rather upset about this because the rings meant a lot to her. Drew suggest to Libby that they could work on the ring together for another design. Libby is taking photographs for the paper when Drew's mobile rings. It's his mother telling him that his dad is in hospital possible with a heart attack. Drew tells Libby this, they are both worried and go outside so it would be more convenient for Drew to speak to his mother. The next day, Libby and Drew has gone up to Oakey and actually, Drew's father did not have a heart attack but it was a stomach
