The aircraft was at an air display at Casino, NSW, when, preparing for a second fly past, the starboard engine cut out completely. The pilot immediately feathered this engine, then began turning towards the aerodrome, when the port engine also cut out completely. The aircraft crashed landed. The last four Beaufighters with 30 Sqn were flown to Tocumwal on 3rd February 1956 for storage and eventual disposal. S/L Albrecht flew A8-358.
