I've made a career of dieting off and on for the last 35
years. I've lost some SERIOUS weight and I've gained some SERIOUS weight along
the way.
I've learned a lot - mainly that Atkins, Pritkins, Zone
Diet, Mayo Clinic Diet and every other fad diet that severely restricts food
groups does NOT WORK LONG TERM.
Statistics prove it - 95% of all people that lose
weight gain it all back AND MORE. It's an emotional roller coaster at
best, and a struggle that I'm sure most of you can identify with.
I've also learned that making all these complicated
"diet" recipes that have 4-6 servings take a lot of time, and when you
are just supposed to eat 1 serving, you have a lot of this food left
over. And since, in all probability, the rest of your family won't
touch it,
it ends up either in your mouth or in the trash.
I'm older now - I'm tired of cooking all of this stuff -
restaurants can be EXTREMELY difficult, but I am finding shortcuts - easy ways
around it.
That's what this site is all about - helpful hints -
tips to fill you up, keep you out of the kitchen and on track with good eating
habits.
I rejoined Weight Watchers last year, as a last
ditch attempt to shed those extra pounds. I told my family that this was
the LAST diet I'm ever going on. Either I succeed at this, or hang it up
and become a fat old woman.
I DID IT!!!!!!!!! I joined the last week of April 2000, and
May 2001, I made goal, losing a total of 43 pounds. YIKES, that's a lot of
weight!!!! I'm not going to say that it's easy, but it can be done,
and they have taught me a lot about nutrition.
I can't stress enough how paying that $10 a week, and
facing those scales every Monday morning have kept me on track. People go
to Weight Watchers, get the diet, and think they can do it on their own without
those meetings. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG - this is like AA folks - you need the
support, and you gotta
plunk down the bucks, talk the talk, walk the walk, to make it work.
The whole premise of the Weight Watchers 1-2-3 Success
Plan is to NOT restrict ANY food. They use a points system for tracking
food, instead of adding calories. You eat what you want, adding up your
points daily, until you reach the maximum, and then you quit eating. It's
just that simple.
You eat real food. All vegetables, with the
exception of starchy veggies (potatoes, corn and peas) are free points.
You can eat all of the free veggies you want in any quantities you want.
You never go hungry on this diet - there is always something that you can eat.
So click on my links, read about my easy
meals and simple
suggestions, and if I help just one person, then the effort it took to build
this site is well worth it. You will find that I am a George Foreman
fanatic - this product has absolutely revolutionized my kitchen - if you read
nothing else on my pages, PLEASE take time to read what I have to say about
George! His grill is truly AWESOME!
NOTHING
TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS
Think about that BEFORE
you reach
for the munchies!

I have been on a constant diet
for the last 2 decades. I've lost a total of 789 pounds. By all
accounts, I should be so skinny I could hang from a charm bracelet.
