In the center of the room is a rug, on which rests a table and a chair. A flickering 'Tiffany' lamp hangs above the table. The chair has it's back to us, and errie chanting incantations can be heard faintly, as we assume they emit from the chair. Behind and above the circle of buggies loom floating tables, lamps, and musical instruments. They spin and float in midair aimlessly, awaiting the voice's commands. Each one glows strange colors in the black void.
As the buggies move around the room, we can see that the chair is vacant! Only the raven perches there, and as he caws and beats his wings, we can see a crystal ball sitting amid a flickering candle and scattered tarot cards on a tall stand.
Resting inside the crystal ball is the ghoulish disembodied head of Madame Leota, the house's resident medium. Her hair is long and white, uncombed, her face a ghoulish yellow-green, and she looks around the room and moves her entire face in a rather animated way (for a ghost at least)! LEOTA:
Guests press onwards and can see far across the room where a green glow slides along the walls, leaving a fading trail of green in it's wake. A shrouded ghost hovers next to it, arms extended towards the buggies, shimmering. From within the cart the Ghost Host speaks once again as the buggies ascend a staircase up to a balcony. He then appears to leave the car, leaving guests alone to find their own way through the Haunted Mansion.
