Dirt track racing is the way I like to go racing.My dad started taking me when I was 8 and that was to the Grand Forks track.Back then you had Don Mack and Lou Kennedy Sr tearing up the track week after week,it got to the point my dad stopped going for awhile.I've seen some good drivers over the years,I remember a young Rick Aukland in a blue #12 bush sponsored car wreacking havoc whenever he pulled into town.Today Rick is one of the top drivers in the nation.Mitch Johnson usually come on those nights as well and those 2 were always fighting for the win.I cant forget Tom Corcoran running that black wedge car he had with a huge plexi wing on the back,one year he won 25 out of 31 features with that car.Jeff Hinkimeyer invaded Grand Forks in 86 and ran away with most of the features that year.A few years later Jeff won the Great Northern Region for Nascar.My good friend Joey Pederson has won 85 or more features during his career and won in Hobbystock,Superstock and Late Models.Joey always had a underfunded effort and won his races by sheer driving talent.He had alot of epic battles in Supers with John Seitz and Brad Seng week after week at Grand Forks,Greenbush and other tracks as well.Anywhere those 3 went they were favored to win.Two years ago I move out to New York so now I watch D.I.R.T Mods at Orange County Fair Speedway and get to watch guys like Brett Hearn when he's in town.I hope you all enjoy this page as much as I have putting it together.I'll be adding more and hope you come back and check it out.
