Invitation
to Christians
And argue not with the people of the book
unless it be in (a way) that is better, except with such of them as do wrong,
and say (to them): "We believe in that which has been revealed to us, and revealed to you;
Our God and your God is One, and to Him we have submitted".
[Holy Qur'an 29:46]
The Jews & Christians possess God's earlier revelations
in the form of the Torah [revealed to Moses (peace be upon him)]
& Gospel [revealed to Jesus (peace be upon him)] respectively. When God revealed the Qurán to Muhammad (peace upon him), God addressed both the people following
these previous scriptures
as the 'People of the Book' and called them to return to the straight path again
revealed to God's final Messenger Muhammad.
