Mobile Fighter G Gundam takes place in an alternate universe bearing no relation to UC and other Alternate series like Gundam Wing. The premise is similar to Street Fighter meeting Gundam. With the largest number of Gundams then other individual series, G Gundam also features some unique designs that are either loved or hated. This is the lastest Gundam series released to U.S. audiences before the long awaited Zeta Gundam debut.

With so many Gundams shown in this series Bandai has made the effort to capture nearly all of the gundams into MSiA figures. Since the figures are more recent then the Gundam Wing Figures their quality has improved in many ways including the new trend of releasing figures with additional hands, a trend once reserved mostly to Asian MSiA releases.
