After numerous sightings of Sootys' best friend Sweep, policing the streets of the English seaside town of Scarborough, this website can confirm that due to staff shortages, the Police have recruited everyone's favorite dog Sweep! 

After spending a year on the streets with his partner, Sweep officially joined the Police on 1st April 1999. The newsletter 'The Sweep News' was launched shortly afterwards and produced monthly with help from Sooty and Soo. 'The Sweep News' documents Sweeps adventures and now with the computer revolution, Sweeps adventures can be brought to you via this inter thingy!

This site will bring you Sweeps adventures as they happen and also hopes to bring you facts, news and information from the world of Sooty.
