What Teachers of Web Mastering Know:
#Standard XI Subset DefinitionMy Knowledge / Proficiency
11.10khow to format digital information for appropriate and effective
communication;
I understand the distinctions between various file formats relative to text, graphic image, video, and sound. I have a working knowledge of how to create and or embed multiple file formats into Web pages and other presentation software in order to produce one "big picture."
11.11khow to deliver a product electronically in a variety of media; andI can deliver media in a variety of forms, including floppy disk, zip disk, CD-Rom, or DVD-Rom. I would choose from these forms based on file size and type of media. For instance, I would choose CD-Rom to deliver a 20MB AVI file because while it would be possible to zip and break the file up into parts in order to copy it over onto floppy disk, it would be far easier and more feasible for the recipient to handle the media as one file on a CD-Rom
11.12khow to evaluate communication in terms of both process and product.
11.35suse hypertext linking appropriately when creating WWW pagesYou are currently viewing a Web page that is part of a larger site containing several hyperlinks. Some of the links, such as the navigation links, move you around within this Web site while other links take you to other Web sites. For example:

11.37sdemonstrate the ability to conduct secure transactions from a Web server to a client;I am capable of using secured servers to conduct transactions, such as monetary exchanges for goods
11.38screate technology specifications for tasks and evaluation rubrics to evaluate a WWW communication product; andI am capable of determining the technology based needs of a group and developing a systematic checklist of requirements to use as a comparative model against various Web communications products, including chat software, e-mail automation, etc.
11.39sseek and respond to input from colleagues and other professionals in
evaluating a WWW communication product.
